Hopefully this'll stop people asking the same questions over and over again!

Q: Isn't this already in the game?
A: Yeah...The model has been in the game since August 3rd 2011, I merely re animated it, no modeling at all!

Q: Hasn't someone already done this?
A: Yes! I, however, did not know until I had already started animating. Their version does not contain thirdperson animations or a taunt but can be downloaded here [gamebanana.com] and is not on the Workshop. I do not wish to start any copyright issues, considering I had this idea on my own and then found out that someone else had had the same idea a long time before me. I feel bad, and even though I didn't copy him our animations are very similar. So I'm treating this as an unofficial reboot, with new thirdperson, idle, draw and taunt animations. In the long run I doubt I'll make any money off this if it does get into the game, and I just want the Pip-Boy to be a PDA, no matter who does the animations.

Q: Can this be downloaded?
A: No! Well yes, technically. But it wouldn't work very well, these are merely animations not models, so if it were to be downloaded the pip boy wouldn't be there and the Engineer would be pressing invisible buttons and turning invisible knobs. Once again if you wish for something like this in your game look at Sparkwire's one above!

The fact that I thought the Pip-Boy would do this when I got it, and was therefore pretty disappointed.

I've thought about it a couple of times, I've had some ideas to do with the gunslinger/loch 'n' load/huntsman etc. Whether I'll do them or not is a different question.

I got a Pip-Boy trade. If this ever gets added, will my pip-boy be changed to a pda slot?

Unfortunately because it is an animation and not a model it can never be gold star :C There might be a way to work around this which I've been looking into. I don't want to promise anything but I may end up making a Version 2 which hopefully will be Gold star...Hopefully

If this does happen, wouldn't this cheapen the price of the Pip-Boy dramatically or would it stay like the Apoco Fists/AWPer Hand etc?

I'm not sure on that, I think it would be cool if it still counted as a misc item crafting wise. ie you need 3 ref to make it. But that kind of stuff would be down to Valve, not me.
