Izanagi -- please tell me this name has nothing to do with the character from Naurto.
I don't watch that show, but I've heard enough about it to recognize this figure's name. However, I don't think that's the answer to this (or at least I hope it isn't).

But building off what Pistonskull and another person stated earlier, the name Izanagi relates to a deity in Shinto mythology. Izanagi is one of the two deities that helps create the world. He and his sister, Izanami, used a special spear that they plunged into the ocean and when it was pulled free, the water that dripped from the spear and formed the Japanese archipelago. He was also the god of the sky and all that is Light and heavenly, which fits Excalibur as Excalibur’s powers are a Radial Javelin - Light Spears - (which in this picture of yours, he's holding a Spear or Javelin made of light) and Exalted Blade - a sword of made of light.
