After Izanagi's wife, Izanami, died he followed her to the underworld. After a failed attempt to bring her back he returned and had to be cleansed after the trip to the underworld. From this cleansing many gods were born. One in particular was, Tsukiyomi, the moon god (I pointed it out because of the skin with the same name). Izanagi and Izanami are also said to be responsible for the creation of the islands of Japan. What I am getting from this enigma is that Izanagi is the creator. My guesses are "creation" and or "creator".
