"Better Inventory" version of this mod
This was requested, and I bet it will be requested again. Better to make a thread then and point people to it as my response.

I assume everyone has seen a screen shot for my mod(if not actually used it). This inventory mod is already quite large. It definitely takes up more screen space than I'd prefer. And now my mockup of what was requested.

The semi-transparent red lines indicate the borders of the vanilla inventory, and this mod. So you see... that UI would be monstrously big. It would be almost impossible to use with something like one of my 384 slot containers. Some people have larger than that.

And of course you see the bottom left area? Nothing goes there because the interface is taller and doesn't need it.

So I'm going to have to pass on that request. It won't look as nice as BI does, and would eat up way too much screen space.

I would say this though, I may well make a different - not vanilla looking - inventory GUI for this mod(addon mod).
  • I'd want to make my own design.
  • It would be made with the specifics of this mod in mind.
  • It would be an addon mod, and thus require this as a base mod.
  • That's so I only have to update this mod, not every variation.
  • It wouldn't be impossible to have multiple alternative looks.
