Map locations are reversed for The Pillars of Grungni and Karag Dron (Snow map is currently played for Karag, barren/desert is played for Pillars). Nothing major, but slightly immersion breaking. Great mod all and all.

@Faux Diety Alright, uploading a fix now. Turns out the default assignment for mountains included a lot of the badlands, but not the pillars area for some reason.

My only issue so far is with the VC maps : VC play with numbers. A lot of them. The VC settlements though, with all the lakes and small cliffs inside the settlement are pretty much impossible to properly deploy and the pathfinding once the battle starts gets horrible.

Staying there defending the settlement is not an option, as the enemy just pelts you with artillery/arrows.

I would suggest increasing the map size a little bit (if at all possible) and extending the deployment zone of the defender.

Great thanks!

@Marthenil I'm not sure I'll be editing the layout of any existing maps (the mod's gotten to large now that my poor aussie internet can hardly upload it, so updating with changes is a 3-4 hour committment now) but I do plan to most likely create additional maps in the future. These will most likely be a bit more open. If you'd prefer not to use specifically the VC maps, you can subscribe to: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=880274575

and just subscribe to all the recommended maps except for the ones you want to exclude. I'm still to test how stable it is now that the mod has so many maps, but it should only add the maps you've subscribed to in the roster. Hope that helps

When loading the Fort Oberstyre map as the Empire, the trees don't render. They still impact the battle (I've seen them block arrows and slow down cavalry) but the trees themselves aren't there.

@sevastosadorios hmmm that's really unusual. I'll take a look at that when I get the chance. I've noticed this issue before with a WE map in the official game

These are nice maps, but I have noticed some issues.

1. Line-of-sight is a bit odd in many areas, like cliffs that block LOS, so you can't sit on top of them and fire over/off of them unless you have a unit positioned to see around.

2. Troop placement/movement can be weird. Some of the terrain that seems like it should be walkable is not, and there are often problems getting troops to form up properly near cliffs/buildings and in narrow spaces that seem to have more room than they apparently do.

3. AI is a bit confused. Obviously it was not designed to handle these kinds of maps, which is unfortunate. I doubt there is much that can be done about this issue, though. They do generally figure out how to deal with it, it's just a bit clumsy.

4. Deployment zones are confusing. There are a lot of overlapping zones that make it hard to tell where allied, enemy, and neutral (vanguard) zones are. On one of the maps I was even able to place some of my vanguard units right up against an enemy unit in their own deployment zone.

Still, these add some nice variety to the game and give minor towns an advantage. If the issues can be solved, these would be even better. Good job, nonetheless!

This mod makes minor settlements battles more unique and visually pleasant but from gameplay perspective its unfortunately pretty bad.
1. It puts defenders at a disadvantage which is absurd. As mentioned some cliffs make ranged units unable to fire even though enemy untis are right below them.
2. Defenders have only small piece of land filled with buildings and narrow passages to deploy their army while attackers can surround settlement and have a lot more tactical freedom. Its especially annoying and noticable when big armies fight each other.

One bit of feedback would be that the maps need more diversity.

Even with the minor changes to the terrain and whatnot there is about 3 or 4 map templates that see some minor changes. Otherwise great mod.

Playing as the dwarfs. Enemies tend to ignore the custom settlements, and go for the outlying settlements. I have to keep fighting on the same map over and over and every time I defend the small acropolis. It'd be great if there was more variety for those.
