Stats?
My suggestion:
+ Damage % is equal to how much metal you have (full metal = 200%, No metal = no damage)
- -5 metal (and -5% damage) on hit
+ Refills metal on kill

(i also think it would be cool if the socket got bigger or smaller depending on how much metal you have)

hmmm, since this is a weird weapon that isn't sharp in anyway.....and valve hates blunt weapons....

+5% sentry dmg
+50% dispenser range
+25% teleporter recharge rate

-75% dmg on player melee
-destroys all buildings on wrench switch.

it's purely a building wrench. as for speedy building we've got the jag, combat is the hospitality's job, metal and positioning is the eureka's job, the gunslinger is for front line offence rather than defense and the normal wrench is the jack of all trades. so a purely building focused wrench would be nice. plus it sticks with valves issue of "oh a blunt weapon? NO DMG BONUS! NURF DAT ♥♥♥♥♥."

On sentry kill: +25 metal
On kill: buildings build 50% faster for 5 seconds
+1 health per second
This weapon deploys 40% slower
No random critical hits

10% faster melee speed
25% less damage

Oh please, blunt weapons aren't the only things that get the "NURF DAT ♥♥♥♥♥" treatment. The Eviction Notice, RIFT Promo weapons, Jag at one point, Pain Train at one point, and I'm pretty sure several other sharp weapons have the "No Damage For UUU >:O" Nerf on them. Not to mention the KGB and Neon both have kritz in certain situations. So quit giving sharp weapons the telling, they have it rough too.

Huh... you're right. There isn't really a wrench designed specifically for an engies buildings (minus the gunslinger's mini sentry) Great idea. Though if I were to make one tiny change, personally, I'd change the sentry dmg buff to a 50 metal per upgrade swing. The sentry damage buff would be too unnoticible in my opinion, and the extra 25 metal would half upgrade time while also making mid-upgrade assaults less likely to survive due to losing metal much faster. Like I said that's what I'd do... but the sad thing is that neither of our ideas are likely to come to light.

+On hit to their head: Stuns them for 3 seconds
+50% base repair rate
-25% slower firing speed
-35% slower construction rate

Or

+Can place a second disposable sentry for 50 metal
+25% damage bonus
-40% slower upgrade rate

How about a knockback effec? We dont have a wrench with wich you can try to deny an uber if you somehow get close enough. Also you can smack enemies into your sentry range.

Despencers give more health (20%) and reload spare ammo faster (+5 per second)
Tier 3 teleporters recharge faster (30%)
Cons
Turret has uses 20% more ammo
Turret has 20% less health

Other than those effects, wrench functions as stock
