I bet no one on steam realizes that we have ongoing polls posted in VK, in our community - coming from players themselves, suggesting tweeks and adjustments.... They vote on these things and the team DOES them..... You all are simply not involved. You act like this and I am HAPPY you are not.

Ive never seen someone so devoted to a project as you are BUT I dont see that as a reason for you to belittle other people for seeming miss informed. Now spew your insults on me all youl like. If someone came at me with little to no facts I would simply guide them to the forums and or sections of certain discussions that discuss their problems. Berating new people to the community is not how you make the community grow. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If they think the mod is ♥♥♥♥, than that's their opinion and they are fully allowed to have it, because lets face it, some of the mod (in its current state) is ♥♥♥♥. Does that make it a bad mod? No. In fact, us pointing out that part of the mod is ♥♥♥♥ will allow the devs to improve.

Steam is the hub of Arma. It may not be the hub of the mod, but more players will be checking on Steam forums for info on the mod. If you want people to be more informed, be more informative and transparent.

He's apparently from somewhere in Cali iirc? Which would explain why he's so unbearable. I think he just keeps talking about "his" community in the Russian parts because it's the only place he can find special ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like himself to converse with. That said, I have hope he'll grow out of his phase, maybe the people behind the mod will grow a brain and get a community leader that doesn't openly mock everyone who isn't Russian. Case in point his recent post in the server opening thread.

ANYWAY --

After playing on the server today I can hardly recommend it to anybody else. It's buggy to the point of frustration, coupled with the fact that almost none of the UI is translated and much of the community (at least that was on at the time of my playing) shares the same mindset as our dear old Uncle Boom here, in that they all seem to hold a deep-seated disdain for English-speaking players. The one enjoyable experience I can say that I had was trying to figure things out with the only other English speaker that was on at the time. I can't express into words much more clearly than I can just say the whole thing feels like it's not even halfway done. I got the impression everything was just cobbled together in a rush to appease the hoards of English players who Uncle Boom had led on to believe there would be a server up "early to mid April" with 200 slots etc etc. I understand that it's supposed to be an Alpha, a "Work In Progress" but as somebody who's worked on projects such as this, I would be absolutely ashamed of releasing this content publicly, especially when it's coupled with such abhorrent community management on the part of Uncle Boom. I just expected more and I would suggest those who only speak English to wait a while before trying to avoid the unnecessary frustration.

I hope that it gets better myself.

As much as I agree with you about Uncle Boom and some bugs in the server, you can't forget that this is a free modification and alpha state of a sub-mod for the main mod. It has bugs, yes, but it's surely in a playable state and I've had quite a lot of fun. About Russians being disdainful, I highly doubt that. I've met plenty of them that have been quite mature. Maybe you met some that are not happy about English people coming onto their server and speaking English when it's a Russian hosted server/mod; however, this does not seem to be the case for me. Try to learn some Russians sentences and tell them that you don't know their language, it's the least you could do when you're on their grounds; I've done this and many either say OK or speak English for me. Anyways, this mod I can recommend to any S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans if you're willing to deal with some bugs and go out of your way to learn a little bit of Russian. I will end this with that Uncle Boom does need to learn to be a bit more... "professional."
