Installation
To install:
Subscribe to Long War 2
Subscribe to Mod Config Menu
Subscribe to Mod Everything Reloaded
Subscribe to this mod
Temporary step - Navigate to
<install_directory>\workshop\content\268500\844674609\Config\XComGameCore.ini
and comment out the following loot tables:
  • lines 95-121: BlackMarketUpgrades01, BlackMarketUpgrades02, BlackMarketUpgrades03
  • lines 162-170: BlackMarketMiscLoot
  • lines 213-239: BasicWeaponUpgrades, AdvancedWeaponUpgrades, SuperiorWeaponUpgrades
  • lines 303-327: ADVENTEarlyTimedLoot, ADVENTMidTimedLoot, ADVENTLateTimedLoot
  • lines 501-531: EarlyPOILoot, MidPOILoot, LatePOILoot

This mod should come after LW2 in your load order. There are 2 ways to accomplish this, the easy way and the hard way.
Easy way: Use the alternative mod launcher
Hard way: Always ensure that you have subscribed to this mod later than LW2. If you ever unsubscribe from LW2, you must unsubscribe from this mod, then re-sub to LW2 and this mod in that order.

If you were already subscribed to Grimy's Loot Mod:
Unsubscribe from Grimy Loot Mod (Original) (and any expansions)
Unsubscribe from Mod Everything (Original)

What about the expansions to Grimys mod? I'm talking about the alien loot expansion (with armours from kings) and the Implant expansion?
I'm disabling them for now and starting a new game (sigh) because I don't like getting only tier 1 loot from lockboxes.
But you might want to give clarification about your plans with them and if/how to still have them installed.

"Works fine for alien ruler loot without the expansion, if you want to remove this the ini can be edited (or just never pick it...)"
I've no interest in the PCS expansion. It messes with hack rewards in an unreliable fashion and gives you PCSes that can be hard to determine what they do.

Anyway, the original Grimy's Loot Mod was a dependency for those mods and as you have uninstalled it, you should not have those mods. Untested and unsupported.

Thanks for the clarification! Good job on reviving the mod!
FYI: I have later disabled the Mod Config Menu mod as it was slowing the game down to a trickle and causing the game to crash every other return from a mission.
Without it everything seems to work ok. I still have such a crash every now and then, but loading speeds are back to normal in stead of 5x as slow...

i think i can't get this mod working properly, already get the mod launch order right.
but at my upgrade equipment section, only my special OPS mod class knife can be upgraded. the other vanilla LW class doesnt have the slot for upgrade.



please help

Most reports indicate the mod is working fine for everyone else. Looks like someone on the comment thread suggested it appeared very recently. I haven't pushed a change to this mod in almost 2 weeks so I would guess there's another mod causing this problem for you.

some of my attachment from lootbox said that i need a continent bonus to active that specific attachment bonuses,
is that normal?

Nah, sounds like a mod conflict or configuration error.

so, important question, do i have to have wotc for this to work? or will the legacy mcm mod work?
