May I suggest using the Middle earth Atlas
https://www.amazon.com/Atlas-Middle-Earth-Revised-Karen-Fonstad/dp/0618126996
It would contain helpful lore friendly biome and fauna and floria, along with climate and folige density. Ofcourse helpful with mapping :D

I have been playing this mod for seemingly endless hours and I absolutly love it. Thank you so much for cobining my favorite fantasy verse with my favorite strategy game! My only complaint would be the lack of LotR content beyond civs. Some wonders such as weather top (gives a bonus to recon units), and the tower of Isenguard (perhaps a diplomatic bonus? not realy sure about this one but it would be cool to build it). Some natural wonders such as mount doom, fangorn forest, and the lonly mountain would add to the astetic. Great people such as Elrond(scientist or prophet which ever you prefer), Frodo (great writer), Bolg (great general), and/or any other people who wouldn't work as civ leaders. City states would be the final thing to make this mod complete. Bree or lake town are some great examples.

The last request I have, and I know this has little to do with LotR, but do you think you could add an economic victory option? I loved this victory in older games and was very disapointed to see it go, and I am worried that if I download a different mod, it might interfer with this one. I also believe this could help the Dwarves who focus heavily on production and mines. They love gold after all, why not allow them to win with it? Even if you don't add it though, this is a great mod and thanks for going though all the effort to make it :).

Hi! Thank you so much for LOTR mods! Eagerly waiting for Middle Earth map and city states. I can help with map if you would. I wanna suggest city states concept. There are three Mags' settlements on the Middle Earth map. Carn Dûm in the north realm of Angmar, Isengard in the south of the Misty Mountains and DOL GULDUR (former Amon Lanc) in the Mirkwood ruled by Saruman's Necromancer. All of them are Mags so I think it that all of them would be great military city-states. Then we have Rivendell as cultural city-state, Bree as economic, and Dol Amroth in the Bay of Belfalas as science city-state. What do you think?

Hello, First I’d just like to say that in it's current form this mod is fantastic and i highly apricate the unique bonuses it really adds some fun to a very serious game like elaborate mountain kingdoms. I just want to say thank you for making this mod and bringing it and its continued development to steam.

As for suggestions,
Unit: Azog: Pike Men Replacement: Warg pack, wargs are sentient in the tolkin verse and could form a hunting pack with bonus to mounted units and early siege weapons (weapons with exposed crews and disadvantage to soldiers, and ranged units.

Unit: Easterlings: Archer replacement: Haradrim Archer +_ Damage bonus (Barbed arrows).
Unit: Easterlings: Copy the base of the http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Saka_Horse_Archer_(Civ6) for units states but use the model for the elephant and have Mûmakil Archers with a specific weakness bonus to Rohirrim Riders.

Civilization: Easterlings (Haradrim). A desert people Easterlings are well versed in living in inhospitable desert climates, adds 2 food 1 production on all desert tiles which can be upgraded to mines or farms.

Unique building: Harbour replacement: Corsair Port: Bonus 2+ to food production and bonus food from sea tiles.

Natural wonders:
Mines of Moria: These deep dark depths once were mined by the dwarfs providing rich bounties of the rarest of metals, Mithril. If a mine is placed on here by a Dwarven civilization it provides mithril armor +3 defence on all infantry class units and +10 defence bonus to walls with mithril reinforced gates. Bonus to Production and science.

Glittering Caves: Acts as a fort and able to be used as refuge by Scouts, Builders, Settlers if its defended. Bonus to production and culture.

Hi great mod!! can i suggest separate each civilazation per culture? like gondor with "southern greek european" style, or Rohan the "barbarian european style" with the logs cabins, that kind of stuff. Can't wait for the easterlings! : D

hello i like your mod, i wanted to know if you planned to open the north ? the ancient men kingdom angmar etc also you could add the elf of eregion even if they were wiped out at the time of the books ( like durin and thror) also if you add angmar considering the leader is the lich king might consider separat minas morgul (former ithil) from mordor make it a subservant faction? finaly the dead of the mountain could be fun but well rendering undead might be harder compared to warhammer total war

Yes, there will be moree civilizations in eriador, but i have nit decides on specifics yet.
I will probably go for Angmar, Arnor and the noldor elves at some point
Angmar has the difficulty of making another "evil" civs, it hard to make them feel different and not just another war monger civ
With arnor the challenge is to seperate them from gondor, there will probably be changes to gondor when arnor is made
Noldor elves are a bit easier, i already have some ideas, leader will be either elrond or gil-galad, maybe both

Minas morgul might become a citystate sometime, i dont think there is enough to make a whole civ
I feel the oathvreakers would be hard to do, they will either feel bad or be overpowered

As for presenting the dead, at the moment i just lack the time and art-skills to do much on things like reskinning and even 3d models
Help on that front is always appreciated

In case you miss the message I left in the mod comments section, I've sen't you a friend request in regards to 3D assets

Since the standard # of civs on this map size is 12 and you have 11 civs, it'd be nice to add at least one more. I'd recommend the Haradrim because that desert section is totally empty. Also, I don't believe there is one single rainforest tile in the whole map, so Chichen Itza stays on the buildable wonders list forever becuase nobody can actually make it; maybe make some of Mirkwood rainforest (and adjust Silvan bonuses accordingly)?

Already posted this elsewhere, but I think these would make great natural wonders http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Two_Trees_of_Valinor

Perhaps a faith and food bonus to surrounding tiles in addition to a more unique bonus, with them spaced apart, if possible, for a more "sweet spot" tiles between them.

Ideas:
(1) Dale should be changed to Lake Town, technically speaking.
(2) Dwarven trade routes should be able to cross mountain tiles
(3) City-States shouldn't spawn ungodly amounts of units
(4) Give special archer unit to Erebor for its alliance with Dale. My thought here is a black arrow archer with greater attack values.
(5) Random generation of mithril and gold as a rare resource. Limit range of mithril to Misty Mountains.

You thought about adding Great People at all?
Tom Bombadil the poet
Radagast the scientist
Bard the merchant
Faramir and Merriadoc the generals
Elrond and Bilbo the prophets (?)
Etc.

Just a thought

Great mod alodllin! maybe re-texture the units to fit their races. for example Sauron orc skined troops and so forth. Would be really cool to see :)

Would it be possible to change the text in whichever civic unlocks corps and armies for Saruman? Or else mention it in his trait? I can't find it anywhere.

So right now I'm playing through a game with half earth/ half LOTR civs, and it's amazing, Gondor is sandwiched between Mordor and Rome, 10/10

Also I second all the above suggestions, and heres a couple more:

Sauroman (Isengard) I feel like he should have uruk-hia, maybe to replace the swordsman, but with a greater movement?

Sauron (Mordor) My only issue is minor aestethics, but I feel like it would add to the mod if there was a way to make the whole civ look a bit darker, an easy way (maybe, idk) would be to make normal improvements and districts could look pillaged, even thought theyre fine.

the Great Eye could be a wonder, it could give loyalty to cities, give vision boost (like reveal all of home contenient, or just whole map), or a unit production boost.

Airial Units: It'd be suuuuper cool if you could somehow add the Fellbeast (nazguls mounts) and the eagles. The FB should belong to mordor, maybe replacing the early bomber with a boost to seige but a neg to unit damage, and with lower range. The Eagles could belong to a few civs, but I'd suggest the Hobbits, they could replace either the biplane or the fighter, but with greater strength and range.

Keep up the fantastic moddin!!
