Mod Compatibility -Lists and Developer's Note.
***As of Version 2.0 I will no longer be actively attempting to make Ultimate Chaos compatible with any specific mod, however it will continue to be written with maximum compatibility in mind and that's as far as I'm taking it. Other mod authors have taken this attitude and unfortunately I must now do the same or risk going insane.

********ULTIMATE CHAOS WILL ALWAYS BE BALANCED AGAINST THE VANILLA GAME AND NOT ANY MOD IN PARTICULAR*************
I have no plans to release sub versions of Ultimate Chaos to make it balanced for X or Y mod so please stop asking!
There are so many, many reasons as to why and I'm tired of repeating them all.

I will no longer be responding personally to comments posted about mod compatibility and so am going to leave it to you guys as the community to inform and help people with this issue.
This discussion will stay open so you can help each other with what mods work and what don't and how to resolve compatibility conflicts with your favourite mods.

I would also ask at this time for people to please not republish Ultimate Chaos and divide the community. Thank you.



I'm going to compile a list of mods (the popular ones) That I know work. Then you guys can change/add/edit that list to show other people waht works and what dosnt.

FULLY COMPATIBLE MODS:
All Tabletop Lords
Camera Mods
Mods that boost research.
Conquer Anywhere\Diplomacy mods (Only works with factions other than chaos)
Map mods (Tested with the Large Campaign Custom maps mod)
Tax mods
Ai boosting mods

INCOMPATAIBLE MODS
Conquer Anywhere - Chaos Edition

MODS THAT WILL NEVER BE COMPATAIBLE:
Chaos Divided
For the Glory of Chaos
Instant Quest items\battles (anything that mods the quests-scripts)
Building Progession Icons (if the mod author gives his permission i'd be happy to integrate this)
Marks of Chaos


TABLES THAT ULTIMATE CHAOS USES (VANILLA)
Mod Compataibility issues are caused when two different mods overwrite the same thing. I'm going to list for you the vanilla things that Ultimate Chaos must override in order to function correctly. If another mod overrides those same tables you are going to have issues.
Please note this list isnt exhaustive, but its most of what I can think of.

building_culture_varients -Requried because it obseletes the orginal Chaos buildings.
campaign_character_art_sets -Required to have the custom lord/hero icons and disable the ai from recruiting those edited varients.

Specifically the unit varients (art sets) that are used for the custom icons are:
exalted hero 02,03,04, 05
dwf runesmith 05
dwarf runelord 02
dwarf runelord 03
dwarf runelord 04
Goblin great shaman 05,06.
This could be helpful if your a modder and want to make yours compatable, you will need to be sure that the data tables tie up with this one though.

This mod also changes all the vanilla chaos tech tree stuff. So don't edit chs_mil tech set.

Absolutly no idea, but having read thier description i'd say probably, Leave the mods posted up here and i'll take a look when I get the time.

i tried the conquer anywhere chaos edition and i coulnt' recruit the units or build the buildings in your mod ;-;

Ive just done a campaign with Conquer Anywhere (standard edition and it all worked fine. So its just the Chaos version that dosnt work.

Is there a posibility for a version of this mod that does not modify the Norscan factions? I'd like to use Mixu's Norsca Overhaul along side. The biggest probem with using both of them is the tech trees dont merge well creating a jumbled mess.

Your mod seems to have an issue with the "33 new skills for lords" mod as Archaon can't use all Marks of the Chaos Gods :/

It's almost sure to conflict with both Radious and steel faith, why not test it and report back what the issues are?

well, thankfully enough, the game didn't crash when i have the two mod, and for now i have some turn and some battle and there is not crash for now

there actually a little bug with the fallen knight, some of them have no head/face.
As someone who HATES just demolishing existence, and prefers to very slowly take over the map and defend cool-looking territory, I can't bring myself to play a normal Chaos campaign with this mod. But it looks *so* cool.

Hoping against hope that you somehow make this compatible with Conquer Anywhere - Chaos. This looks fantastic.

@The Communist, I did take a look at that mod, but frankly compatability between the two just isnt going to happen im afraid, so burning the world it shall be.
