I haven't explored the entire map yet, but for example Kagoshima is quite a sizable city in real life but in the map it consist of only about 6 small houses, no idea if the other town/cities are also like that but i'd suggest making them abit larger, and adding some small villages/military stops & camps in between to make up for empty space if possible.
All and all looks like an amazing map so far, take your time and looking forward seeing it develop further
Unfortunately the 6-7 floors building that are already there are the highest, to have real skyscrapers I would have to add custom object (but since I want this map to be fully vanilla isn't an option).
With some cities like Kagoshima as you mentioned I had to make some compromises either because of the limited space or because they are very close to other big cities and having too many big cities near each other would hurt gameplay imo. About adding some military stops and such, there are already some but I plan on adding more after I'm done with the NPCs!
