Report a translation problem
For something harder... well, custom subject empire would be nice. Ideally, it should be completely custom, but having my own Thrall/Signatories/etc would be nice, too.
Honestly, I'm not sure how best to fall. My very vague idea would be the empire ethic shed the non-fanatic ethos, or pick fanatic one... but the pop don't. In addition, each non-FE empire you have have active diplomatic contact with (like trade, federation, etc) or open border further influence your ethic, so more unrest.
... or something. Ugh. Not sure.
Of course as an Ascended Empire you should already be able to create Thralls, Signatories etc, but extra custom ones I would need further explanation and what they do to really think about implementing :)
Given that the Scourge/Unbidden are easier than AEs given all the tech available, might be worth inverting their arrival dates if at all possible.
It has same effect with 5 times expansive with later unlocks, make it useless even in the late game.
and its also good for late game challenge
You could change it as some has long range long cooldown high damage like sniper rifles
and some has short range medium cooldown high damage like shotguns
These feature could gives FEs to unique style for each of their own
Arc Emitters - Long Range, Random Damage.
Kinetic Cannons - Long Range, Shield Damage.
Energy Lance - Long Range, Armor Damage.
Missiles - Long Range, Shield Damage. Can be intercepted.
Plasma - Medium Range, Armor Damage.
Torpedoes - Medium Range. Can be intercepted.
Autocannons - Short Range.
Explain to me what you want to do and how would you accomplish it.
FEs currently equip mostly their 'upgraded' advanced weapons from their vanilla designs and I didn't change too much there except adding some colours.
Materialists - Green Energy Lance and Disruptors + Titan Torpedoes
Spiritualists - Arc Emitters and Plasma + Titan Arc Emitter
Xenophobe - Kinetic Cannon and Hellfire Autocannon + Terror Cannon
Xenophile - Kinetic Cannon, Blue Energy Lance, Keeper Autocannon + Massive Autocannons.
They are the designs at the moment. Xenophiles like you so they want to get close to you. But overall have a bit of everything. Any problems with this current design?
by examples, keeper autocannon and hellfire autocannon has same stats.
But Xenophiles likes Xenos so perhaps they might hit weaker but a lot faster.
With same kind of reason Xenophobe hate Xenos so they hit them harder from further range not to get close. But that kind of actions costs lot of energy so it can't hit as fast as the others.
@Statelesskiller You have to basically research all techs in this mod, then you will get a pop up asking if you would like to be an Ascended Empire. You can always choose not to, of course.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
There are two real solutions I can think of:
1) Reduction in research costs across the board. When everyone acquires tech faster they also ascend sooner.
2) Decouple the requirement to Ascend with the fact you need to research all tech, allowing players to Ascend before they researched absolutely everything in this mod.
Both have their problems and merits of course, but since the issue is raised and I am interested in addressing it, thoughts on potential solutions are welcomed.
