The reason is that Viz and the Torchmodders have made important changes to the mod, but we can't upload it here because the main page owner, doudley, is not actively modding at the moment (if you don't now it yet, workshop page "contributors" are actually quite powerless; we can't even change the description text).

If doudley does come back we'll post the updated mod here as well. But until then, the updated Variant mod will not be available from here.


As of version 14 of this mod the files of the Tenebris class have been reverted to those in the 2.0.5 version of that mod.

This reversion was done by the Torchmodders team because in August 2019 the original author of the Tenebris mod, Actkqk, returned to modding and let us know that he was very unhappy with the changes made to his class when it was merged into the Variant Classes mod. Out of respect for his vision for his custom class, Torchmodders decided to make this reversion.

That may not seem like such a big deal, but among modders yeah it's important. So that's why we did it and made this announcement and all.

The original location of the Tenebris mod was here on Steam Workshop at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=137354380 but it is not accessible anymore. So the Tenebris files used were extracted from the Awesome Classes mod by PewOnYou https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=162524401 instead, which stated that it was using the 2.0.5 version of Tenebris. The last update to Awesome Classes was in August 2013, so the Tenebris files extracted from Awesome Classes can't be any later than that date.
