1. Collect ore with the new Prospector's Pick.
2. Smelt the ore in the new Smelting Forge (this will take 5 mins.)
3. You will then have a very small window (2mintues), to get the molten metal to the Coin Bench before it cools into an ingot.
4. Craft your coins!

If your metal cools, you can resmelt it into molten ore, and it will take 5 mins.

The coins are not meant to be easy! They are coins after all. The Pick is easy to make, but the Smelting Forge and Coin Bench are barred at high levels and cost a good chunck of Engrams.
