Two Maps? (Light/Dark)
So I've been hearing people talk about how dark the map is and the only reason it is this way is because I hate the way the Source Engine in Garry's Mod does it's lighting and I wanted people to put up their own lighting, such as using Lamps, lamps render shadows in real time and they look nicer, but It's unfair for those who just want to use the map, so should I make two maps in the same add-on? One with light, and one with dark? Please let me know!

Update: I have added the Lit map!

Yeah. That sounds good.

The Dead or Alive Dojo map has exactly that for the same purpose. (A lit and unlit map)

Also, a lit map is probably less intensive because there are no dynamic lights actually required in the map. That should be good for people who hate flashlights or just hate the Light tool.

yeah i think that would be cool cuz with me when i need to put in lights at lags the heck out of me so i think it would be better if there was a light and dark map

The lighting in your map looks bad, because you have leaks, as I can see there is no bounces in your lights, I mean, you can see other's maps and they have good lighting, its not Source engine fault.

Yeah, the lighting version would be very cool.

better lighting? ♥♥♥♥ yeah.

@Yokito Lakaka, That may be true! But it's also because the Luxel is 16 and it makes lights appear low quality, and although I can turn it down to 8 in some areas, it'll increase loading times.

instead of 2 maps and updating both why not make it one map with togable lighting with a button in a admin room or something that way youll only have to update 1 map each time instead of 2

That is a massive pain in the ass to actually do, uses a lot of ent data, and quickly becomes buggy.

then why not put the 2 in 1 and use a big no draw wall between them

Because optmization issues. And ent data issues.
