What about a type of Hypothetical star called the Preon Star. An even denser and smaller star then a quark/strange star, although it would contradict the Higgs Boson, something that we as humans know exists. Well I think it could be cool.

Yeah, that's one of the thing I considered, but I prefer to only add stars that are possible within our current understanding of the Universe. So that would rule out Preon stars and for exaple Boson stars, that require a new hypothetical particle.

why not an antimatter star?

Hmm that's a very good idea. I'll add it to the to-do list :)

I think there should be something collectible from white holes. White matter maybe ? +5 % energy production empire wide and faster sublight speed ?

Perhaps Blitzars, Magnetars and Luminous blue variables would be nice additions? Though Magnetars and LBV's aren't exactly hypothetical, we know they exist, they're quite expotic and so far I know, not in the regular more star types mod.

Hmmm I don't know, I don't see why there would be any special resource in white holes.

More star classes already adds magnetars, and I would think LBVs fit more in that mod too.
As to Blitzars, I considered it, but as I understand it, they are more like an event rather than an object, so at this moment I don't know how I could implement that. I'll investigate if with an event chain I could change some random neutron star into a Blitzar and then into a black hole...
Dave 28 May, 2017 @ 11:16pm
Well, a blitzar is basically a pulsar kept stable with centrifugal force. These are rather big pulsars, spinning extremely rapidly. Within a few million years, the slowing of the spin will cause the blitzar to collapse in on itself and form a black hole.

You should add a wormhole which could teleport ships to a random star system at the opposite side of the galaxy.

Would it be possible if an antimatter star is found it could provide a boost to antimatter based technologies?

It does, if you succesfully research the anomaly.

Could you make some custom start systems with the new stars? I really like to have pretty stars in my home system

I could, and it is on the to-do list, but probably not in the near future.

found a list on wikipedia, some of these are interesting and you might want to take a look

Yeah that was the list I originally followed when I made the mod. I've done almost every one of the stars on that list which don't require new or alternative physics (like any new particle, or an exotic not-proven theory). My rule of thumb is that I'll put into the mod only stars that are possible under our current understanding of established physics (so basically under QFT and GR).

Thanks for your interest anyway :)
