Elemental dodos egg looking thing

So I've tamed 7 ele dodos and put them in a pen to see if I could breed them and 2 of them now have metal/tek looking eggs above their heads and I cant for the life of me figure out what they are or what they mean. anyone know?

ok nm server has passive dino protection and swapping the dodos to neutral makes the icon above their heads go away so I can just asume you cant breed an army of exploding dodos.
