"Suck my unit."
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that movie is so quotable.
Operation Rolling Thunder[en.wikipedia.org] was series of bombing campaigns carried out by the United States Air Force and Navy during the Vietnam war. It involved massive ammounts of napalm, thermite, and standard munitions being dropped on acres of forrest in North Vietnam in hopes of bombing the N.V.A. into submittion.
The helmet's design and the cover art references Tropic Thunder, a movie that has a Vietnam War-esque theme but does not take place in the actual conflict. I'm fairly certain that the creator decided to reference both the film and the actal military operation with this workshop submission.
Also, fun fact: The Market Gardener references Operation Market Garden, [en.wikipedia.org] a failed Allied assault in WWII. It's most obvious reference is that the majority of the U.S. forces were paratroopers who dropped from the sky to unsuccesfully bring death to the enemy, just like the Soldier.
