Make sure you have the latest (March 20, 2015) Skyrim update, as well as the latest Steam update. Then, restart both steam and the Skyrim launcher, and look in the "Data Files" section of the Skyrim launcher for this mod.
nope i have tried a couple of things i cant get this to work anymore
Me neither. Both are updated :/ Every time it tries to load the mod it just gives the error message.
There is definitely something jacked up about the latest update, it has messed with a bunch of my mods including this one and 'Run for your lives'. Get crash to desktop when I load any save.

Symptoms: when I use the vanilla launcher (i.e. not SKSE), it shows 'Left hand rings' as being unsubscribed, and set not to load, (What??) If I launch the game anyway (nb: through SKSE launcher), left hand rings is still loaded and working..... very odd.

Anyway, I think I've sorted this out by doing the following:
1. Delete .bsa and .esp files for this mod
2. Unsubscrube
3. Re-subscribe
4. Launch using vanilla launcher
5. Let it cycle through the modlist and re-download Left hand rings
6. Check that it's showing as subscribed and set to load in the Data Files option. Check.
7. Close poopy vanilla launcher and launch via SKSE
8. Great success..... now go figure out which other mod is causing my CTD :<

This also seems to have sorted out 'Run for your lives' mod, though it doesn't look like either of these mods are actually causing my CTD. Hope this helps people out anyway. Cheers.

Update: I think it was SkyUI. For some reason, the original was removed from the workshop. A new one is up, but can't say I like it as the author hasn't bothered to give any explanation about what's happened or why.

Solution: Delete everything to do with SkyUI & manually install from the Nexus instead.

I too can no longer use this great mod. Sad. Long time user. I am up to date and I re-subscribed. No go. Is there any hope?
Did you delete all the related mod files before unsubscribing/resubscribing like I said? I'm interested to know if my approach will work for anyone other than myself.

And did you check whether your installation of SkyUI was behaving normally, too?

I have never installed SkyUI. As for deleting the related mod files, I am afraid I have no idea how to do that. That's why I only use Steam. Ha. Can you instruct me where I find those files? Thanks.
I can't load this mod either. It synchs with Skyrim but none of the rings show up anymore. It saddens me, because this mod is fantastic
Awwww, ok well your mod files will be found somewhere in yer skyrim folder, which usually lives somewhere in your program files folder, which usually lives somewhere on your hard-drive. That usually lives somewhere in yer house.

Find your steam folder then navigate to Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data

I am not 100% sure as I'm no pr0, but I think the only files related to this particular mod are called LeftHandRings.bsa and LeftHandRings.esp

Delete those two files. Then alt-tab to Steam and unsubscribe from this mod. Then re-subscribe. Steam downloads will probably ♥♥♥♥ about a bit, and then you should launch skyrim and wait for the mod thingy in the launch window to finish doing its thangy. Click play & give it a go.

Unlikely, but if you happen to F it up somehow and break anything, it's not my responsibility. I'm not the mod author, I'm just giving some amateur-ish advice :>
Oh yeah, thank you. I got the left rings back. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I would have never been able to find those two files and delete them without your help.
Werd. Never managed to help someone else out with technical issues, so I'm smug. No problem mate, glad you got it working :)
