Civic Redux - Upcoming Civics
DISCLAIMER: All Civics here are in active development and are subject to change. The Civics under No Set Date are ideas I have thrown about but are not in active development. Don't expect them any time soon.

Planned For Next Update

'Unnamed Machine Civic' - Gain all Terraforming Technologies and the ability to Terraform planets to Machine Worlds. Terraforming Cost -75%. Terraforming Speed +75%. Planets naturally move towards Machine World status. YOU CANNOT COLONIZE PLANETS THAT ARE NOT MACHINE WORLDS.

No Set Date
  • Promise Of An Elder God - Requires the Dark Influence Civic - Begin the game with immense power, but after ~100 years your Empire is slowly destroyed.
  • Fanatic Befrienders - Blorg Requirements - Can subjugate other empires as BFFs
  • Necrotic Horde - Hive Mind - Same diplomacy/alien rights rules as Devouring Swarm. Higher Habitability, but can only colonise planets with other Alien pops. Have a chance to find Alien Pops on any world you own. Alien pops consumed are converted to your species. Can build a Corpse Farm to allow your Pops to grow. Faster and Cheaper Ship/Armiers.
  • ANCIENT MACHINE (LEVIATHANS) - Begin the Game with 4 extra tiles and the components of an Ancient Machine on your Capital Planet. It gives no bonus initially, but can eventually be upgraded into a powerful Research Nexus.

Any chance of one like Nationalistic zeal but with increased bored range and without the extra rivalry? I always pick it up when i research the civic tech for the border range as the extra rivavlry was never useful for anything

I can definitely look into a civic that adds Border Range and a Zeal-like effect.

Thank you, maybe 25% border range at the cost of mineral production or sciences.

Something for an ultra-tall could be interesting, like disables colony ships but get massive scaling bonuses for your homeworld as the game goes on, maybe with a decrease in Frontier Outpost maintenance like the Expansion tradition so you can gain territory without settling other, dirty worlds.

Perhaps you could look into Hivemindsexpanded and see if you can create a civic that stops hive minds from auto-purging non-hive pops and perhaps enslaves them or allows them to exist as wards? It would be overpowered as all hell though since even HME does not allow for factions so this would be quite the civic if you did implement it.

Any chance for a Hive civic that functions like Feudalism, but is primarily meant for creating your own vassals? Kinda like a cerabrate. Would love it for devouring swarm.

It should be possible if making vassals from Hive Minds is a thing. I can just port the civic over and give it the colonise rule.

"Unnamed Machine Civic" could be called "Planetary Circuitry," denoting that the machine conciousness is literally built into the planet, and cannot function otherwise.
