New, original stats
I'm pretty sure it may have crossed your minds lately, and I think it's sufficient.

-/+ Projectiles fly straight, without an arc.

Pros
+ Projectiles explode on impact.
+ Projectiles home in on targets.

- -35% Projectile Speed.
- -10% Damage.

I think it should have those stats, but - 10% base dammage, and a short range fire blast comes out as well as the projectile
WOLVER 24 Sep, 2013 @ 3:17pm
Seening the explode stat, i think its sort of already covered with the scorch shot, BUT all that does is push people back when hitting them directly, maybe the spitfire can cause headshots? and those would do minicrits?

A headshot with a locked-on projectile would be OP.
It should be a body shot only weapon
And also I freakin' love this

+ Projectile drop off decreased by 50%.
+ Can lock on to targets.
- Projectile speed decreased by 25%.
- Afterburn time decreased by 2 seconds.
Captain Waffles 26 Dec, 2013 @ 2:54pm
Pros
+ 50% faster projectile speed
+ Crits airborn targets
+ Small explosion on impact

Cons
- No burn at all
- Clip sieze 1
- 50% slower reloadtime

If m1 is held then the bar starts to fill up (like the huntsmen, takes maybe two seconds more then the huntsmen to load) once bar is full it has no arc,+15% splash sieze,+15% damage.

Yeah. Sounds quite good, actually.
But VALVe doesn't know how to add weapons to the game anymore so what's the point of even making more for them to look at?
It's one of the reasons why I quit TF2 until the next huge update just to see how disappointing it will be.

Neutrals
-/+ Projectiles fly straight, without an arc

Pros
+60% faster projektile speed

Cons
- onley 3 seconds afterburn
- no random critical hits

I think that many suggestions are over powered. but sins its so far called "spit fire" and the projektile is a rocket I think the projektile really should be improved.

I also think that it´s important that the weapons stats make sens to the weapons style and that its fun and not OP.

I think it should have a high fire speed but low damage or accuracy

Isn't it too much like the Reserve shooter? Remember this is supposed to be a long range weapon that is not like any other flare gun, which can be hard...
I like the thing about not setting them on fire, although they may not implement that since it actually is a flare gun.

Spitfire makes me think about an airplane homing in and dropping a set of Napalm bombs, maybe it could have a heavier projectile or it would split into three shots in the air or something..

>Or how about shooting a bomb with left-click and when right-clicking, it deploys in the air and drops to the ground and makes a small fiery explosion, it would be like Scorch Shot but from above
Yeah I like that idea, that is something to evolve!

How about this:

Pros:
+2 ammo capacity
Can create a napalm pool that causes afterburn and lasts for 6 seconds on the ground

Cons:
-15% damage
-20% firing speed

Counter idea:

Idea for stats

-30% damage
-10% afterburn time

+50% projectile speed
If you keep a target in the crosshairs for 1.5 seconds projectile gains a homing quality and follows target. Can still be reflected but follows target.

how about if the projectile is air blasted it homes in to the pyro that fired it, and it gains speed and damage, like a pyro tennis weapon

My ideas are
-Fires straight instead of arc
-Nocksback enemies
-Crits on airborn enemies
-explodes on impact
- -30% damage
- +20% damage to self

That's...rather clever.
