I like your idea, and here's mine:

While Active:
( + ) On Hit: 35% of Damage Done is converted into Primary Ammo
( + ) On Critical Kill vs Burning Players: Victim explodes, inflicting a 8-Second Afterburn on all enemies near victim within 30 inches of killed victim
( - ) 25% Slower Swing Speed
( - ) 35% Damage Penalty
+25% damge
+10% crit chance
33% chance to set target on fire
alt-fire sprays propane which gives any enemy (even other pyros) longer afterburn

you recieve afterburn as well

On hit: Generate a large ring of fire(6x the size of the hou long heater's ring)
Enemies in the ring also get knocked back
After first hit: 40% damage penalty
* First hit deals 80 samage and ignites opponent
-50% damage
-50% burn time
-10% slower holster time
+20 ammo on hit

It'll be cool, if the user is taunting with this weapon and it replenishes the ammo of the flamethrower. (Although I don't know why you would do this) Otherwise i think it's an interesting melee concept. ^^

oh god please no. Because the new update will be "The pyro update" nearly everyone will be playing pyro and if this is going to be the only new melee for pyro then everyone will use this to get a quick kill and run back to spawn and repeat.

This would just completely destroy The Axetinguisher, which has already been Nerfed pretty badly, so adding this with those stats you suggested (Creator of this) would just make the Axetinguisher even more useless.
