Gathering criticism and feedback.
Hey, Vsauce, Vulbjorn here! I gathered some feedback and am about to start working Carnifex Mk2 (or more like Mk1.1). Currently what I'm picking up is:

1. Need more metals and robotic parts. I have some plans for those, but there won't be much due to infested nature of the skin and how overgrown it is. But I'll add some, I think you'll like what I have in mind.

2. Fading tint is kinda treshgarbage and needs to be reworked. I'll be redoing majority of it and forming a heavier paintscheme out of it. Do you have any preferences on how it could look? Fading colours, perhaps some spots like crabs have, maybe some sort of bug pattern? I have something in mind, but I'm free to suggestions.

3. Head might be too wide/large. Do you agree with this? Would you like me to change it?

Do you have anything else interesting to propose, perhaps? I would love to hear your suggestions.

(P.S. Will upload some better resolution shots in a moment, showcasing textures better)

Update - Unfortunately, due to my computer deciding to crash right in the middle of a save, I have lost source texture files, meaning - I cannot update this Carnifex model, but have to instead make aaaaaall of the textures again from ground up, with new design in mind. Which I'm doing, because I'm stubborn.

New Carnifex will feature more emissives, similar to what Nidus and Charger have, as well as better distribution of tints, bug-like patterns instead of just some fading colours, and Ivara-like multi-shaded tints. Also, some minor resculpted detail and adjusted normals.

Final update - Carnifex Mk2 has incubated and was deployed to Workshop! She's now live! Yay for disgusting infested monstrosities. Now to work on the next thing.

Ultra-final-ultimate update Thank you all for your feedback! Thanks to all your criticisms, skin was updated and got picked to be added into the game. I bet some people will paint her red and cosplay as Prince Sydon.

to be honest it looks awesome so far however looking at the body it does look a little plain im not sure if your plans for more metals/robotic parts will fix this but ill be looking forward to seeing this skin develop

With more so infested theme of boney texture/overgrown bone tissue. The tip of the skull highly reminds me of a fishhead, aquoius theme. Looks awesome otherwise.

I agree with Sh!tEater (HA). Bits of bone and bone tissue would definitely make it more natural and organic. As for the head, I love it. As peeps have said before, that part looks like a Xenomorph and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rad.

Imo there is a mismatch between the body and helmet. The helmet is mostly smooth giving off a strong feel while the body is the opposite and feels... anemic? A la Strong sucessful hunter vs one that has not eaten well in weeks. Bad way to explain, I know, but thats how it feels to me.

Thats an amazing helmet but im done paying the same price for a helm as a full skin. Make it a full skin and you can have my money.

Right now it's roughly the size of Nyx Prime helmet. I'm thinking of shrinking it down by approximately 5%. I do like grandeous helmet designs, though.

Let me be clear up-front. I love the look of this. It's extremely well made. It is, in fact, gorgeous. It just doesn't feel like Nyx. Yeah, it's similar in style, but it just doesn't fit the character of the frame. It's a damn shame, too, but it just feels wrong and it's difficult to put words as to why. I loaded the game up and looked through the various Nyx helmets and I think it boils down to this helmet not being "face" enough. All of Nyx's heads have a clearly defined head plus dangly bits hanging off of it, this is more one smooth shape arcing back, so when I look at it it doesn't scream 'Nyx' at me. Hell, I think it'd work better as a Zephyr. Since birds are dinosaurs and everything.

have you even looked at the prime helmet? it looks like it and it really fits nyx in my opinion

AH! So its a skin not just helm! I would like to make suggestions with this in mind. If there is a possible way to add similar asthetics as exists on the face (The four spikes at top/back of jaw and the one along the cheek) to the frame itself it may relieve some of that bulky head v aneamic body reaction myself and others have had. One potential example of this would be similar to Nidus mutation look for his shoulder pads but less pronounced with soft texturing to give either a bone like or more organic look

Regarding paintschemes and emissives etc.
I do like the way it is looking at present and given your unfortunate loss of the textures my only request would be emissives similar to Nidus but below the shoulders on the front and half way down her back along the lines you already created in the previous examples offered?

Also with regard to a previous reply you gave to a previouse remark I made if you could perhaps soothly widen her neck a touch it may give room for more textural aspects that could give the feeling of bone/organics?

I am seriously impressed with the design so far and your abilities and being willing to incorporate some changes that have continued to improve this skin. I will be spreading the word best I can amongst friends who main Nyx to keep an eye out. Once your accepted youll be getting some cash from me too :)
