Balancing feedback for Bloodknights Dual +Halberds
since I made some testing for mp, i also tested those units.

Bloodknights Dual wield : well balanced in terms of Combat stats,I´d onnly suggest +3 anti infantry bonus, cause that would make a nice round letter together with frenzy bonus.
also, no need for master charges defense actually.

Bloodknights Halberds : They get trashed by chosen and ap cav.
I´d suggest master charge defense, +12 ap,(mainly the reason they lose against heavy inf) , +5 MA/MD.

General : I´d suggest a +5 speed to put them on pair with vamp lord aswell as bumping their health to 110.

Is it possible to make an ability that allows heavy health regen + regen of vigour in combat and only in combat?

Do you plan to make a bit of an overhaul to normal Bloodknights? With regen and a bit more hp maybe?

Hi all!

Dual Wield: I agree they need slightly more anti-infantry bonus, it makes sense that they are trained in hand-to-hand combat. Also increase their speed. Maybe lower melee defence a bit in return?

Halberdiers: Again I agree that armour-piercing suits them nicely. Speed should stay the same, they are meant to hold the line mostly. I think Dual Wield should be faster.

Why --> I can help you with designing custom abilities if you don't know how.

Hi guys! Thank you so much, this was the feedback that these mod need :) i'm out now but as soonas i am at home i will look into everything. As i said i am a real noob in balance and your comments are tue most useful:)

In the meantime i can say that changing the speed is a bit of a problem as far as i know: i have to change the battle_entities_table that refer to the man_entity and doing so it will change also the speed of the exalted hero as they share the same man_entity. But i don't know if it possible to create a custom man entity for the units so that the changes will not affect also other vanilla units (from your words that seem possible :D)

For the regeneration i use myself the mod that Deco linked and answering also to Deco: i will be very thankful if you can help me with the abilities :) in that way i can also respond better to No Skill:)

Hey man! You can create a custom man_entity in battle_entities table. Then link it to your bloodknights in place of the exalted hero in land_units.

As for the custom ability you will need about 6-7 tables depending on what you want to achieve. Almost all my units in Deco's Heroes and Bestiary have abilities that you can check out. When you decide what you want, I can guide you through the necessary tables.

Well that's very good to know! I will apply the chages you two have suggested and then i will look at the custom abilities (i will add them later just because i want to check them appropriately, and because i also have other small fix to the mods to do asap)

What do you think about unit names? for the dual wielder i stick closer to vanilla, but for the halbardiers i think that they sounds better this way..

Yes halberd need anti large and anti cav

They have anti large charge reflector as attribute and anti cav bonus in the weapon :)

Their health pro model. I did quick math and saw, that chosen had 108 so I though, that they should have atleast that much, when they stay in this price range :)

What table entry change this? for health i have only seen bonus_hit_points in land_unit :)
