Citizens attack with bandits

Got first night attack in city. Killed two bandits and cant go back in travel mode because of citizens attack me. I didnt hurt them. WTF?

Yes, this happens to me too. You have to kill those peasants too (you won't lose honor or relation for that, don't worry).
