Recruiting lords as ruler of the Free Folk

I just finished taking over the Free Folk for myself, and I was wondering what would happen if I convinced a lord from beyond the wall to join my faction.

My culture is set to be Free Folk, so would they start recruiting Wildlings or would they continue to recruit their ex-faction's troops?

I think it depends on what their culture is (in this case free folk) as well as what lands they own. I recruited Dothraki Lords while taking over free folk and They collect both dothraki and ff troops
