So, since you can add the Sand Snakes and Giants to your party anyway, a Direwolf is not worth just autocalcing the end game nuisance. You say, why not just turn it off then? Well, it is still a challenge to get that many to the North and ready to fight the Others. If you play legit you just gank them with Obsidian troops anyway.
