Pros:
On backstab: Attack range increases by 10%, all the way up to 50%
+15% Walkspeed

Cons:
-20% Damage on non-backstabs
On miss: Loose 1 boost


Seems legit.

I think thats ok except the damage thing. Backstabs are always instakill so that is unreasonable.
Instead:

Cons:
+10% vulnerable to fire
- 10% backstab speed
I said -20% damage on non-backstabs. not -20% damage on backstabs.

The attack range is too op!

+100% time in between attacks

I know this sounds a bit OP, but the backstab range is already 180 degrees for a normal knife. On this one it is 207 degrees, not much more. This is a great trickstab weapon, but the 1.6 second wait in between attacks is a real disadvantage, and when you attack and don't get a backstab, you deal only 16 damage.

Well, after Lightning pointed out that 50% extra range was a lil op, I agree, you can be like 3 feet or 4 feet from your enemy and backstab, plus with the extra backstab area, if a enemy turns just a little bit they can get backstabbed, it would be much easier to backstab than to facestab with this weapon.
I like the idea of the walk speed, but it seems a little op so I would recommend a slow movement speed for 2 seconds after a stab
This has less damage comparing to a pencile, maybe you can make a pencil one?

Range should be a thing for this weapon given what it is, otherwise what is the point of a ruler? I think maybe there should be a build up system for it like the Eyelander or something. Like maybe for every backstab you get you build up range by a smaller percentage (Say 0.05% for range and 0.03% for area) and the degrees by a smaller percent to some non-overpowered maximum, so overtime backstabs get easier to perform for having to have a long wait time in between each stab. Maybe it is still OP or underpowered now, I dunno I just wanted to give my two cents on the matter.

Valve, however, could use this for ideas. Yes they decide the stats but if it can help decide on stats to use should the idea make it in it is not pointless, but your nothing sure was!
I think It should allow you to make a single backstab when cloaked that will blink you for 2 seconds. You will then have to wait for the knife to recharge in a way similar to the spycicle, Im not sure what the cool down would be though

I like that, it would encourage more stealthy gameplay rather than the super tank spys you see with the kunai
