This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

Is this mod Ironman/Achievement compatible?

Nyet!

Which start date would you recommend?

THE 1939 START DATE WILL CRASH YOUR GAME! A FIX WILL FOLLOW, BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE HIGH PRIORITY RIGHT NOW!
Since only 4% of all Hoi4 players use the 1939 one, I expect most players to use the first date anyways. Both are supported, though the 1936 one is better modified and your game will be more stable when using it.

Should I enable historical focus?

Although BPWE has some ahistorical choices, I highly recommend to play with the setting enabled. A lot of events will only trigger under historical outcomes and you'll miss a lot flavor if you just prefer to have the new states. First and foremost, this mod was targeted to be played in a similar way WW2 happened in our timeline.

Are your mods compatible with new hotfixes? How long do you need to update?

Generally a hotfix changes only minimal things and thus I don't see a real reason to update for them, except if it concerns gamebreaking issues. Playing with a beta patch and mods CAN lead to issues, however when playing with betas this is generally the case.
Updating time will vary but I will need around 3-5 days in average.

Will your mod ever be compatible with Road to 56?

There are two reasons why this will probably not happen:

1. RT56 has already added tons of states and merging those with the states of this mod will be a lot of work and might even not work in the end.

2. Better Post-War Europe is a mod you should play in historical mode. Sure, you can ignore the dozens of events and just enjoy the 30 new states while staying ahistorical, but then you miss out a lot of content. Road to 56 on the other hand should be played without historical focuses as any game there will derail very quickly and most focus trees were not even optimised for historical mode.

How often does BPWE get updates?

This depends mostly on my spare time. There are still a lot of good suggestions to implement and I strive to add them all eventually. Usually an update every month seems appropriate.

How does BPWE work in multiplayer?

It works just as fine as in singleplayer but the manager events and the configuration events (flags and neutrality settings) will be given to a random player. Thus I really recommend to only play this mod with your clan/friends as random players could screw up your session really bad, considering the power of the manager. Currently there's no option to give control only to the host and there's no real workaround.
Of course every player needs to have the mod enabled to play in MP.

Which languages are supported?

English (ofc), French and Russian. If you want to translate my mod into another language, feel free to ask! I would really appreciate that!

Is there a way to play regardless of compatiblity?

Kinda. It's possible to take the mod folder from the Steam directory and paste them into your "documents/ParadoxInteractive/Hoi4/mod" folder to create a new instance. Then you can delete files to avoid compatibility issues. If you have any questions what each folder does, just ask. Keep in mind that bigger mods won't likely work or require a lot of file checking.

Which mods would you recommend alongside Better Post-War Europe?

- Expanded Technology + Industry + Equipment by Greatexperiment
- Enhanced Peace Conference AI by Neutrino
- Player-Led Peace Conferences also by Neurino
- (When you enter the Cold War) WW3 and Cold War Music by me

In my game, the Allies/USSR caused border gore and the events didn't fix that!

Tell me which states and I'll add them to the events. Areas like Asia aren't overhauled yet and need some time. I recommend using peace conference mods to spare your eyes.

Do you plan to add NF trees, tech trees or convert this mod into some kind of Cold War mod?

No, there're mods like "Iron Curtain" which give you exactly this. My coding skills and time are limited to create enough events. This mod is suited to start WW3 after WW2 as a major power (besides the Axis) and get fancy borders for your soldiers to cross and die for!

So, does that mean that there will be no 1945 or 1949 scenario?

That's right, resarching the Order Of Battle alone would take months. You might be better off using a "real" Cold War mod like "Iron Curtain" as they will have more content anyways. "Better Post-War Europe" distinguishes itself from any other Cold War mod by just extending the game after WW2 with events, decisions and, in general, content.

May I use your mod or parts of it in my project?

Please ask me first in the comments.
