Though BPWE was meant to be a rather small fix to do some of Paradox' work, it has grown significantly over the last months. Besides some additional events, bug fixes and smaller features, there won't be any new big content to avoid transforming this mod into a Cold War mod.

Thus in conclusion I've touched multiple files, which could also been used by other mods. Incompatibility can be an issue and lead to crashes or only smaller bugs. Over the time I tried to mod in mostly independent files to ensure stability in your games and currently there're only a handful of files from the direct base game.

The game determines which mod files overwrite the ones of another by the alphabetical order in your Hoi4 launcher. Because this modification starts with "Better", a lot of mods underneath will be overwritten, IF there's something to overwrite.

Anyways, the folllowing lists will help you to determine if some of your mods may cause trouble:


NOT COMPATIBLE

• Mods, which change states/provinces e.g. "Better States" or "Ultimate States Expanded". The "Nuclear Destruction" Mod is unfortunately also incompatible.
  
• "Impassable Terrain Expanded"
  
• "No Province Lakes"
  
• Any German focus tree overhaul; the same goes for German events.
  
• Big overhaul mods (e.g. "Kaiserreich", "Road to 56", "The Great War", "Millenium Dawn", "Red World", "Apres moi", "Iron Curtain" for obvious reasons.

MAY LEAD TO CONFLICTS

• "Expert AI 2.0" (mostly compatible, will probably create a patch for this)
  
• Mods with extensive changes to Poland and the USSR (event files may be overwritten)

DEFINITELY COMPATIBLE

• Any cosmetic mods, like "Coloured Buttons", "Strategic View Adjustments" or "Better Political Map"
  
• Tech tree mods (highly recommended)
  
• Unit skin packs/mods
  
• NF focus tree mods, though some for the USSR or Poland may lead to conflicts. German NF trees will NOT work!
