Your Stories
One of my favorite things about the mod is hearing about how it impacts people's colonies. So please, use this discussion to share the neat and interesting things that happen in your colony, particularly the way Psychology allows them to happen. Tell me about any noteworthy colonists. Tell me about interactions between them. Tell me about your elections. Share screenshots.

-From A16-
I was playing this with Rimsenal and the Call of cthulhu mods. It was a great combo. Lots of breaks. I built a massive mountian base, and was finaly beatting back the hordes of tribes and monsters. Things are going well until my head Acult researcher Toby goes totally nuts. starts schemeing. Toby is a nice person but gets bullied alot for being kinda nerdy. Now we respect her, but, this wasn't our first time dealing with someone who witnessed the horror of the gilrmor. We have two gaurds out side her room at all times with (hopefuly) nonleathal wepons. This goes on for a day untill a massive investation kicks off in a indoor barn, slaurgtering our livestock. Well I guess we deal with this now, we are in a bloodly war with the damn bugs when I failed to notice Toby sneaking grabing a assault hammer. In this battle our head chef Brigs, a vital part of our team was shot in the head. He's bleading out, so we rush him to the hospital and patch him up just in time, then its time for more indoor war. We wrap that up and I notice Brigs has a X on his hud icon. I look at his health. His head was gone. Smashed by a blunt wepon, and Toby was much happier to have saved the colony.

Now what to do with Toby?

Thanks for the mod!

Well I have a pretty basic story. I started up the game, my colonists drop in as always, but they happened to drop in right next to a polar bear (keep in mind I was playing on Ice sheet where they're very little animals or plants). He turned out to be VERY hungry and decided my colonists were good treats. Never got to see any further into this mod, but I did set a personal record for how fast my colony would die (about 3 minutes in)

Not related to this mod because i didnt have it installed when this happend but one time one of my female colonist has her spine shattered, and for the month that i spent tradeing/mining resources as well as research bionics to get her back on her feet, i noticed she was hooking up with one of the male fighters xD

Why are you posting it here if it's not related to this mod?

My high-tech colony captured an extremely confident tribesman. A day after being released, elections start, and he's the only candidate. His platform is optimistic. He wins the election with 2/18 votes. Also, he hates everyone.[i.gyazo.com] I think I might have a mole.

Heh, yeah, the more competitive a pawn is, the more likely they are to run for mayor. And since everyone hates him, only one person bothered to show up to vote for him (most likely someone very passionate, since they like to vote).

I have a intresting story I used perpare carfully mod all the time and use the same people 2 guys two girls one cyborg girl and one cyborg guy. Cyborgs make it intresting given the mod affects them but they them selves don't get mood buffs or debuffs and don't make friend or enemys but human people still do when it comes to them. Anyway in my play through my two cyborgs are the most populer people in my colony because of the fact they don't care about anyone. I made them to be butlers and workers but when it comes time for election I think one will be mayor which might be bad because there ultment goal is to insalve all orgaincs and turn them in to cyborgs. I hope they do not win for the sake of my people because they do not know about the super secrite test chambers behind the cyborgs room

While I dont have much, i ran a colony with the harvest everything mod in mind, it made it easy for prisoners to have a lot of mental breaks, it became a chore to take someone and fix them up after they self harm/etc, after they went into paranoia it was their ramblings that got every prisoner to their own mental break. I also like apathethic, while its hindering my own colonist, they still do work.. sometimes

Just had my chef go histrionic, half a day later her and my recruiter are "New lovers". Checked the social tab, and it was the desperate chef that wooed the recruiter, after following him around all day exchanging pleasantries. Now to see how long this -totally- genuine relationship goes. It'd only be better if the chef was codependent.

So I whip up a new colony to go with the newly installed Psychology mod. Things go quiet well for a time, gathering new colonists, watching newly recruited go from hating all my pawns guts to begrudging acceptance. Having pawns hook up and split up, except poor Freddy... no lovin for him. Maybe its the green hair that put people off? I digress. It hits winter of my second year, weirdly no one has been elected as mayor yet and I’ve not been prompted to name my faction and colony, the illustrious New Arrivals receive a notification. Friendlies from, i forget the name, let’s go with the donner party, have arrived and are moving in to help you. Well thats a bit odd. No one’s attacking... anyways the donner party mills about just being a nucesnce, wandering in and out tracking dirt no big deal. Another notification, fire in home zone. One of the donner party has had a mental break and is setting all my batteries on fire. Thanks dude. So after every last one of my batteries explode they decide to leave. A couple minutes later i notice one of the donner party dudes is wandering around in my base muttering paranoid gibberish. Okay... carry on I guess. A moment later, my relations with the donner party has suffered due to one of them dying on the map. I scroll around a bit and sure enough, the donner party hasn't left instead they are hovering on the edge of the map with one dead person. Dead of infection due to the untreated burn of their own idiot lighting everything on fire. As I’m watching to swoop in and rescue any others, the whole group of about 9 gang up on one and beat him to death. The newly dead donner man is then passed around and eaten. Then as i start heading back to my base, intending on leaving them to their obviously unraveling psyche, I find 2 more of the donner party lighting the world on fire and a trail of dead bodies. Not sure what kicked off this trail of death murder and mayhem. I don't think i want them to visit again.

Other than that, this mod has been marvelous.

FYI, if you have an ancient danger with mechanoids in it on your map, you can't name your colony or hold elections until you kill them.

My current situation is a complete riot with this mod. Of my initial settlers only one has made any strong friendships (Engie) while Suttles, Joachim and Sparkles remain on the outer fringes of the colony casually doing their own thing. Nuwan and the cluster around him are a group of explorers that occasionally return to the colony and you can see the strong bonds of friendship that have formed around them.
People from the same old gangs remain friends after being recruited which is rather fun and most the friendships that have developed have actually come from people being in the hospital together after fights (Tau had a long term illness and you can see the bonds he's made with people while hanging in the sick bay)
All in all a great mod that makes for some dynamic friendships and rivalries, loving it.

I personally notice that people in my crafting rooms tend to become friends as they spend a lot of time near each other. Great story!

Just had a prisoner start throwing a tantrum due to acute pain. Broke the wooden wall on his cell, which led out to the open forest, but apparently the reality of that hasn't dawned on him because he's still throwing a fit. Next up on the destruction? His bed. The rest of the colony is sound asleep Lol, i'm completely set to let his hard work earn him his prison break haha
