Suggestions
Have a suggestion for a way to improve a civ, or the mod in general? Let me know!

One of the main issues I'm seeing currently, and this is purely my opinion; with this mod (the map scenario one to be clear, due to there not being a discussion's tab on there currently) trying to capture the War of the Five Kings, perhaps make it possible or manditory for the players to start in the Medieval era. The whole researching technologies at the begining of this game, seems a little slugish when really, you sort of want the action and bloodshed to begin! I did try and start the game at Medieval era, but the game won't let me, throwing me back into ancient.

And another thing would be the request of Robb Stark as perhaps an alternative leader to House Stark (Though I may be biased, he is my favourite character). Joffrey and Tommen I think also would be a welcome additions as House Baratheon alternatives. And perhaps Renly, having his own hold in Storm's End, though his tenure in the war of course was quite brief.

Thanks a bunch for reading, really loving the mod. Sorry if this all seems overwhelming, but I really want to see this mod suceed further :>

Civ 6 is a little different from 5 in that you can put all those changes into scenarios and I just haven't got mine working yet. Currently all you have access to is the map as far as the War for the Five Kings scenario goes and all the civs are currently set up as they would be for play on standard maps or the Westeros TSL map. Scenarios are the total conversion packs now and that means by default there should be very limited changes to things like the tech tree, era pacing etc, that aren't required outside of a scenario because if you want to make a change like that you should make a scenario for it.

I have the scenario in the works, but it's not at a point where it's working correctly right now and the map was just a bit of a bonus while I work on it. Pretty much everything you suggested will be in the war of the five kings scenario if I can get everything working though!

As I envision it the scenario would be locked into the medieval era, have a limited tech tree and civics tree, have a custom beliefs, building, civ, great person list, leader, and unit list, have a customized ruleset including no razing cities, custom victories etc

Eventually, with all of these changes I hope to produce an experience that will feel pretty close to the way it would if you were playing a War of the Five Kings game-mode, trying to field that largest army and making use of strategic points in Westeros to control as much territory as possible and hold King's Landing for the longest amount of time.

Ah I see. So far again, I'm really enjoying the mod but I really cannot wait to see what you do with it! Definitely gonna have to keep an eye on progress to the mod. Keep up the great work, loving it all so far :>

The dragon/unsullied combo is effective for a brief period and even then, the cost is so high. Any chance to lower cost or raise strength of dragons? Think it would help.

Also, how do you spawn Rob Baratheon Settlers, include a description of the process. And about the map, it should have some wonders in order to not completely waste so many apostle upgrades.

Just for the scenerios, could settlers (founding cities) be completely disabled?

Different mod but the map needs later strategic resources (aluminum, uranium), not sure if they were left out to add to the theme but really disappointing to play a long game only to find out House Stark can't B-52 House Tully out of The Eeryie in order to establish their rightful Lord.

My bad, only aluminum is missing on the map. Slight oversight?

Can the tech tree be limited to keep things thematic?

Love the mod so far! One quick fix: Robert Baratheon starts in White Harbor on the TSL map instead of where King's Landing should be.

Is it possible to make the units look like the game of thrones units? when I saw dany approach with helicopters in the medievel era it kind of ruined the experience.

I got an idea before civ 6 launched, with the barbarian encampment system (horse camp near horses), you could use that to do a white walkers camp to spawn powerful barbarians in snow. But it would be more interesting with a new tech tree and new units, I don't know if you are willing to do a conversion mod.
This allow you to have to kinds of barbarian, basics one and the powerful white walkers who come later in the game from the north only
I did try to make some kind of a test mod adding a new barabarian camp spawning near a new ressource (Winter is coming) which only appears on snow tiles, and the camp spawns white walkers class units which are powerful units.
I didn't get further because we didn't have modding tools at that point, it was kinda buggy and i didn't have a lot of time.
Anyway adding white walkers is cool, and sorry if they are already in the game i haven't play it yet.
And custom victory condition is cool.

is it possible to limit the tech tree? if so can you do it?

There should be a white walker civ. When they kill a unit they take it as their own. They would start in the far north surrounded by mountains but only one entrance into westeros. Also, I think if Essos (a smaller version) would be added to the map with Baenerys and a couple of Slave Civs that would be awesome. So far I'm loving the mod and I hope you make it even better!
