Element ore can be found on one of the 2 abberration islands right up against the upper level unmineable large rocks. It looks like small black rocks with just a touch of purple. It is very hard to find but it is there. I found it by walking around the edges of the of the large rocks. Good luck :)

Thanks for that spent a while looking but found it eventually,right up against the rock base,nightmare to find

There is also some element ore in the cave found on the north side of the redwood island at the north end of the map. :)
