FORUM: JP dino spawns on The Island + attack dino guide (for boss-fighting)
Hi guys, just thought I would give some info on what i have learned from this mod.

I just wrote down what I can think of at the minute, but feel free to ask anything if you are in doubt, maybe I can help :) It is a huge mod, but there is missing ALOT of information about many things, such as dinos, items, DNA, kibble etc, but lets talk about it :D

I have just written some spawn regions on some JP dinos (feel free to ask for clarification (coordinates-ish), and also some comments on some of the dinos regarding taming and utility.

So yeah I play on the Island, and here's what i have got:

- Bosses everywhere

- Giant dart frogs and primal vipers near the rivers south and north of redwoods forest.

- Rexys and JP rex's are spawning massively everywhere on the map, as long as it is not snowy (so south of all the snowy regions). Rexys have about 120000-140000 torpor.

- JP ankylos everywhere in the south.

- I have 400 hours on my server and I have seen Indominus Rex two times, both very high-leveled. 1 spawned near the volcano and 1 was near West Spawn Region 3, just south of the winter biome (theres a huge hill out there, and there are procoptons and pulmonos around).

- I have encountered 3 ultimasaurs (also only very high-leveled), 1 was just west of redwoods, 1 was just east of the volcano and 1 was just west of the volcano. Ulti's have about 40000-50000 torpor.

- Goats spawn in the north, like ovis, but also in the redwoods (actually seems like they spawn more often in redwoods, than ovis in the winter biome). They take sweet vegetable cake, like ovis for taming.

- JP raptors... If you have played just 10-15 minutes on any Jurassic Park server, you know that these guys are not for fun. Just like normal raptors they can jump on top of you (and your bird) and paralyze the two of you for maybe 6-7 seconds. On top of this they deal insane amounts of damage compared to their small size, they give the gigas bleed-effect, and they always spawn in packs of 3-5, stay away! They spawn everywhere ont eh map besides the northern snowy-biome.

-JW-dimorphs, spawn in packs of 3-6, are VERY fast, and also deal gigas bleed effect. I have lost many good birds to these.

- JP gigas also spawn everywhere on the map, besides in the winter biome. They can damage stone and metal, just like their vanilla counterpart. They are not that strong HP-wise, but has a bleed effect which deals massive amounts of damage.

- JP Mosas spawn everywhere in the seas, but unlike vanilla mosas they don't stick close to the bottom of the ocean, they are near the surface. They are VERY powerful (around 1200-1600 damage pr hit), so it is not advised to use a tuso and dragging it into a taming pit. I built a huge trap on the ocean floor and lead it down there with a megalodon, but they lose aggro very fast, and they deal insane amounts of damage (again). If you do tame one, congrats, you are now the king of the sea, nothing can stop a lvl 100 JP Mosa with 50000 HP and 1500 damage, not even alpha tusos...

- The new rhinos and new wooly mammoths of course spawn in the north winter biome.

- JP carnos are sort-of-invisible when they are not attacking (you can see their silhuette if you look closely). They spawn alot in redwoods forest, and are not that strong + they always drop both carno DNA, and alpha carno arm!

- JP pteranodons spawn many places (but not really in winter biome). They often spawn in pairs of 2, and are often high in the sky (much higher than any other birds). They are, by far, the fastest flying mount in the game, much faster than vanilla pteranodons, they deal a good amount of damage, and they have great stamina increase when leveling (the perfect scouting-bind). + They pick you up if you are not mounted. They will fly high in the sky and drop you, to your own suicide :)) (Always have a few parachutes on you).

- Smilodons also spawn alot in the south regions of the map. Beware! They can knock you off your bird in the same way purlovia and thylas can.

- Brachiosaurus' and apatosaurus' have same spawnregion as brontos.

- JP spino has a ringtone (from the movie) when you get near it. They spawn alot in the swamp region near the redwoods. They have their own saddles, which look cool, but are ♥♥♥♥, because they only provide 7(!!) armor, and they cannot be upgraded. This means that it is difficult to use JP spinos in large fights, because of their bad HP/Armor. Compared to Rexys, who are super OP, and can wear rex saddles (For instance ascendant ones), JP spinos are nice because they can breed, whereas Rexys cannot (all rexys are non-gender, but lay rex eggs nonetheless).

This brings me to my final dino-strength-conclusion;
- Rexys are super strong, both with HP and damage but cannot breed.

- JP rexes are ♥♥♥♥ compared to rexys, but they can breed (not worth it, if you ask me)

- JP spinos are bad HP/Armor-wise, but if you breed them for some time, you get some crazy dinos. I do not think they can get into the boss arenas though.

- Indominus Rex are super rare and VERY hard to knockout (it takes several of the Jurassic Park tranq rifles, because the longneck's reload time will make the indom lose torpor too quick and it will eventually die before it gets KO'ed). You can spawn them in using dino DNA, but you would have to make a big trap, so you can constantly hit them. They are breedable, but the baby dinos are dangerous, because they will damage your other dinos when maturing. They have their own saddle and can go invisible (which means that they CANNOT wear vanilla rex saddles, and get more armor via this).

- Ultimasaurus are not that rare, have an okay amount of HP, a nice damage output and are breedable. They spawn in good levels in the wild, and take approximately the same time to tame as a normal rex in vanilla ark. When wild they will stun you if you get too close to them, but the roar differs from the Rexy and JP rex'es roar, because it will not just stun you for about 4 seconds, instead it will increase your torpor immediatly, causing you to get knocked out for about 1-2 minutes = very dangerous! When tamed they have a primary bite attack, a secondary double-bite (which deals a bit more damage, but takes a bit longer time to do). Furthermore it has a third attack where it roars and deals both a bit of torpor to nearby dinos and causes a "flee-effects" on most dinos.

Ultimasaurs CAN WEAR vanilla rex-saddles, meaning they can gain the massive armor boost, making them the perfect dino, in my opinion, to fight bosses with. You can imprint your breeded dinos, put ascendent saddles on them, and get the mate boost, meaning that they are by far the most savage attacking-dino in the game. (I have not yet checked out the new pentagon-evolved spino/giga, so I can't talk about those).

Feel free to comment and help eachother out! :)
