So, I have been a player of the first hour on PSX.
I know the game almost by heart.
I never played the PSP version.

Now, I will always recommend this game to anybody that likes this kind of game.

But I played the remake of another game I loved, although not as much as FFT, and the game is Tactics Ogre Reborn. And I can say that while FFT is a very good game, especially for newcomers, this version does not, alas, bring as much things as the remake of Tactics Ogre brought to their game.

I finished it at 100% (all achievements) at 130 hours (Malak got the "all jobs mastered", haha) and felt the grind by the end.
I was hoping they would add a lot of things like Tactics Ogre. But I will survive !
Excellent game in the end.

I hate that all the annoying Tictacs-Truthers were right….
But yeah this is one of the Franchises Best.
Even with me not being into Strategy games the combat is great and I love the job system.
The Visual Style is outstanding and the additional VO that empowers the already strong writing.
The only part i didn’t like was grinding all jobs to max on a single character for all Cheevos.

A phenomenal remastering of a phenomenal game. Perfect for Steam Deck.
