Updated Demo & Exciting Publisher Announcement

Hey folks - sorry for the lack of updates, but I am here with excellent news: He Who Watches has a publisher! And not just any publisher, Draknek & Friends!

If you're reading this it's very likely you already know some of their games, but they are masters of the genre. A Monster's Expedition and Bonfire Peaks are two games of theirs I loved even before I started development on this, and so they're a great natural fit for He Who Watches. I've been working with them for a few weeks now and I'm thrilled to have them as partners on the game.

To celebrate the announcement, we've updated the demo and we're doubling down on production to really bring a deep polish to the game.

We might even have a new release date for you soon - I promise you it's going to be worth the wait!

I cant seem to find my save file. Did the new version of the demo delete this? Or is it in some file folder I can't find, because I moved the game to another drive? Thanks

Release Delay

Hi folks,

Sorry it has been a minute! It's been an incredibly busy time finishing up the game and preparing for release. I originally announced that He Who Watches would come out in Fall 2025, and as you may have guessed (considering that it's already November) we aren't going to hit that date.

It breaks my heart to delay the release, but I just don't think it's quite to the quality bar that it needs to be at. Cue that famously misappropriated Miyamoto quote. This is mostly due to my poor planning, but also due to the fact that I'm just one person working on it, and life happens.

It will come out soon™, and as much as I want to give a more specific estimate than that I think I've learned my lesson! Probably shouldn't have immortalized that Fall 2025 deadline in a trailer. Whoops. I'm incredibly excited to get this game out the door and into your brains, I'm sorry it's taking forever.

Cerebral Puzzle Showcase 2024 - Demo Release!

Hello all - The 2024 edition of Cerebral Puzzle Showcase[www.cerebralpuzzleshowcase.com] starts today and we're in it with a brand new demo!

This month has been massive for thinky/puzzle game releases, and I'm excited to join the crowd with this demo! If you've played the previous one from last year, this is still worth checking out as the overlap between the two is pretty small. I hope you enjoy!

features request: workshop + level editor + (if possible) online coop (or vs)

there are few first person puzzle games with more or less original game mechanics, and few of them have a level editor and workshop like portal 2. it would be great if this game also offered those features; same for a mode for "online coop" or "online versus" (ie a classic race style mechanic, in which each time one player solves something, the other player is penalised with an obstacle, and maybe both players have the option to monitor the progress of the other, so both are constantly on the edge)...

Anything to do in the demo after Overhang?

I completed every accessible puzzle I could find in the demo, but I see previous discussions from a previous demo about a "red rune" and I do see a red thing behind a wall. Wondering if there's anything I can do with that, or if it's just a teaser for content in the full game? Excited for release!...
