I love that game but the devs are the problem.

It's the kind of people that "never make a mistake" and they all know better than their player.

The best exemple of that behavior is how to use a shield. So to equip your shield you need to hold "f". By default if you press f, it will be the light (torch as exemple). Then it become just f. BUT if you save/load the game or you get on your horse, it will be the light again.

So you are hunting/fighting or get surprised by a wolfe while riding and crashing... 100% you will protect yourself with a torch. Of course, the wolf don't care about the torch. It's ironic because if you do that in real life, you have way more better chances to survive by scaring it with fire rather than using a shield. But no, not in this game.

For them, it's the way and no debate about it. Their players complain, don't like it and they say it's the best way and everyone is wrong. Anyway, because of the many bugs you save your game often and before each fight. Oh about that, if you die and press F9 to quick load your game, the game will freeze. Yup, a loading loop, just press alt+f4 and restart the game. But everything is perfect as it is and this bug is not important.

You think oh it's not a big deal, just re-assign the shield with another key. You can but you can't. The shield and light will be just the other key, it won't split.

A dev said, just don't have a torch in your inventory.

Anyway, the combat system is the equal of the bugs. You don't really need a shield. That's the truth. Just block with your weapon. You will have little to no damage. So everything is fixed and perfect, that's the spirit of the devs.

The devs love their quests too. It's just fetching quests with boring story. All you want is to get a horse as fast you can and just click without reading. They know it and even make a joke about in the loading screen. They don't seem to understand that if we would like that, we would be playing Disney dreamlight (wich is a very good game for who like fetching quest and pseudo escorting a npc).

This game can be perfect because of 90% of things are very good/perfect. They just have to listen to their players.

8/10 for the game.

I have played many games like this, but this one makes you feel that you have the whole world (Map) at your feet, and it gives you that feeling of "Go out there and make your mark"

I find it peaceful just trying to find that one place I want to call home, and start collecting and building, I don't feel the need to rush, (more so on the Oxbow map) I just take my time, build and admire the scenery.

Performance wise. I have had no real issues at all, everything feels solid, also UI is nice, (but always find that one subjective, so each to their own)

If I had any criticism at all, it’s a very minor one, and that is the lack of voice acting for NPCs, but won’t hold that against the Dev team as they are an indie team, but other than that, I love the game so far, great job Dev peeps 😊
