Not Starting in Steam

I recently purchased a new computer, and now when i go to start MD, it wont load. I press the play button, get the typical 'launching', 'starting' indications, then the 'play' button turns to 'Close" then right back to 'Play' again. I have made sure my PC is up to date, and run Steam as administrator. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Can you try to run the game directly through the .exe (<steamfolder>\steamapps\common\Medieval Dynasty\Medieval_Dynasty.exe) just to see if you get a missing .dll message as well?

I recieve X3DAudio1_7.dll and XAPOFX1_5.dll cannot be found.

I followed the thread you posted, and could not locate the steamworks file to run to fix directx. i ran directx diag, and it said everything was fine.

If you cannot find it in your steamworks, you'll have to download it from Microsoft I guess. No clue why it wasn't automatically included with your windows version. Are you sure you don't have windows updates still pending?
