[Solved] Medieval dinasty doesnt start (ResampleDmo.DLL missing) (Install media feature pack)
Hi Folks,

I put this so someone that has the same problem can find the fix just by a quick googling.

TLDR; Install media featue pack
https://support.microsoft.com/es-es/windows/media-feature-pack-para-windows-10-11-n-febrero-de-2023-2aaf89b8-f9d3-4322-98d0-612c9bea9c01

Long story short Medieval dinasty was working perfectly on my PC, but unfortunately I had to format the pc. I installed windows 11 (same OS as before), AMD GPU drivers, chrome, ... the tipical apps + steam.

So I launched Mediaval dinasty in the steam launcher .. and nothing happened. I checked and most part of my games were working fine. Whatsapp and Kingdoms reborn showed similar problems. Same thing happened when i turned the windows insider feature on and i got a beta update. last time i fixed just reinstalling windows, but now i wanted to fix it.

So I went manually to steam folder and i launched medieval dinasty directly from there. I got an error saying that ResampleDmo.DLL was missing. This is a library that belongs to Media Feature Pack, which i suspect is missing in some Windows N versions.

After a long googling, i found that ResampleDmo.DLL is part of the media feature pack. SO i went to windows --> settings --> app and i searched "optional feature" then view features --> add Media feature pack

After that the games and whatapp launched without a problem.

Interesting. We sometimes have people reporting a similar issue (game not starting) but it's usually .dll's from DirectX that are missing for some reason.

Thanks for reporting; it might help someone else!

Its a dll missing. Not from directX thought, albeit it was my first thought.
