COOP Black Screen after Respawn
A friend of mine has been having an issue I cannot find mentioned anywhere on the forums. He was having issues with pulling his tools out initially, so I ended up killing him to see if it would fix the bug. It did not, causing him to be stuck in a black screen after trying to respawn. Now, he has tried rejoining the game and we have rehosted, yet every time he loads in, he ends up having to click respawn and has the black screen again.

He has tried creating a new character, and we've done everything short of a fresh install. We haven't tried making a new save, but we don't really want to make a new save.

Has anyone had this issue? Are there any files he can provide for people to troubleshoot? Or are we just screwed?

Also to note, I've seen a lot posts about black screens on connecting, but he's able to connect. I see him join, I see him where his body was, and he sees the respawn menu.

Could you upload your savegame for the devs to have a look?

You can find your savegame in %LocalAppData%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames.
To upload it, just use a site like wetransfer.com to create a link for you that you can paste here.

While they look at it, you could also try giving that savegame to your friend and have your friend host the game instead to see if he can respawn normally then.

So like you said, we swapped save games and he was fine, respawned. Then when he transferred the save back over he was still bugged with his tools. We had to transfer it again and he tried making a new character and sending it back, which ended up working. But we lost a lot of coin and various items that would have been nice to have.

Does he have problems using his tools on the new character as well when he is not hosting?

When he made a new character and joined my game afterwards he has been fine since.

If testing the save will help you guys in any capacity we'll get to it here soon, but we've continued playing so the save isn't much use to us anymore.
