can't install game without download corrupting
it gets maybe 15% done and then Steam says the download is corrupt and does not install any more. originally i uninstalled because it crashed on start due to a "texture error" it said iirc. i'm reluctant to keep trying because it's happened like 4 times. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling several games (big and small) as tests and not only did they finish but they finished IMMEDIATELY whereas MD took like forty minutes to fail. this is the only game that has EVER gotten corrupted or even given me problems on downloading. i really miss this game!! what could be the cause?!

I don't think it's a game issue, looks more of a connection issue, have you checked your network connection? or tried restarting your router?

i actually just got a brand new internet setup, works perfectly, great speed, and it still fails! ive tried servers local and abroad. both my old setup and the new cannot complete the download without it corrupting. its only Medieval Dynasty that refuses to get even 1/4 done. and im not saying the game is bad or anything, i love it. but SOMETHING is corrupting my download and i dont think its my machine or my setup.

(and ive been looking for months now and it seems unfortunately like im the only person to ever have this issue OTL)

Your last line is what tells is that it is on your end.

but my problem is this specific game (and no others) doesnt download and i dont know WHY. i have tried literally everything--un- and reinstalling Steam, alternate servers, clearing my cache. i even reinstalled windows. **this game and this game alone** will not download, but others do, and thats why its so frustrating and confusing for me!! if the problem is on my end i truly have no idea where or how. ive seen people talk about their downloads failing but never for one single game before.

This person had a similar issue: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/1129580/discussions/7/591775366372164498/

For them it was a savegame.
Could you check the install folder if maybe something didn't get deleted properly?

Maybe also copy the savegames to a backup folder and then delete them in %LocalAppData%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames to see if that helps.

Still issues with downloading after that?

I had the same problem, but I followed the advice of user *Morri*. I didn't re-install the Steam app?. After a bad download, it was enough to restart the updated Steam, which for some reason didn't update properly, because at that time it reverted to the previous version due to a bug. After a few restarts it caught on and worked. Saves from the game also caused problems for someone before, so I deleted them too. No point in downloading it multiple times, it's better to restart after updating Steam until it works.

I tried uninstalling the game to fix, and reinstall, but the install of the game itself is now corrupting hahah

I had update trouble with several games in my steam library. testing the SSD didn't show any problems and trying later did the job
