corrupted download
I've tried everything, suggestions from other posts, deleted saved game files everywhere i could find them, wiped the game completely, now i can't get it re-installed at all.
All it needed to do originally was cancel the corrupted update and redownload but steam just cant be bothered or something? My ISP the wonderful people they are charge me for all this data and downloading 20Gb game over and over is really cutting into my monthly allotment, you dig?
whats going on? Dev'ed out of another game?

I would probably try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Uninstall the game completely, then restart Steam and your PC, then try installing again.

Did you try to uninstall Steam and re-install it as well? Or have a Steam update waiting?

Dude, it's most likely a Steam issue. Not sure what you want the devs to do about that.
I had the same problem. Just don't delete what you've already downloaded, 1. Update Steam. 2. Restart your computer. 3. Check properties - installed files - check the integrity of the game files. Wait until it starts downloading itself and if it shows information about incorrectly downloaded data, don't delete it, just repeat steps 1, 2 and 3. Finally it successfully completed the installation. I did this several times until it worked. In the meantime, when Steam was supposed to update, an error message appeared in the updater line and revert to the previous version, and in the newer it was fixed. When it caught on and didn't show this message, the game installation went through. I was close to doing this step https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFbdln5TI_s, but I didn't have to do it. I downloaded it again several times and probably unnecessarily because the installer fixes it by verifying the files.

First problem here is your attitude, secondly Devs have nothing to do about it, just take refund from steam and stop acting like a "Karen" :snowfl:

Just for the next person tho...

For 99% of the people who did what he did the fix is:
Throw away your steam (download) cache, close steam, open steam, fixed.
