CTD after update...

Anyone else have a CTD with an old save game after the update?

The game started fine and I loaded my last save from July of 2024. All was good, I walked around my little settlement and then went to my horse. Saddled him up and climbed on to ride him to the next town. I got an immediate fatal error and CTD!!!

I'm gonna reload and try it again and see what happens.

Yes, I reloaded and saddled and got on my horse and instant Fatal Error and CTD...

So I guess I'm screwed out of that savegame!!!!!!!

Or wait for a moderator to intervene, or actually try to fix it by verifying your files.

Has nothing to do with your savegame.
We've had other people crashing when mounting, and from what I remember for all of them it was due to an integrated GPU on their motherboard that the pc switches to sometimes, which isn't strong enough to run MD.

Go to device manager in Windows and check under display drivers if you have a second GPU listed there (an onboard one on your motherboard). If you do, please right click and 'disable device' and afterwards restart your pc.

Does mounting work fine again after that?
