Shift makes you go slower
Good evening. For the past few days I've had a probleem where my character is always running but can't sprint and pressing shift makes him walk instead of sprint. Any temp fixes?

Are you encumbered?
If you are playing on a PC, also make sure you are pressing the shift key and not the Caps Lock key. The latter changes your walking mode (so you *will* be walking).

I thought I was pressing capslock at first then I changed the sprint key to mouse button 5 and the same is still happening.

Do you have sprint set to "hold" or to "toggle" in the controls? (<escape> - settings - controls.)

Sprint is set to hold. I tried changing to toggle last night but I still have the same problem.

Do you have a controller plugged into your pc by any chance? if so, please unplug it to see if that fixes it.
Other than that, i have seen people having issues sometimes with wireless keyboards acting weird. Are you using one of those?

Try to verify the game files to make sure nothing is corrupt: right click Medieval Dynasty in the list of games in your Steam library, pick 'installed files' and then 'verify integrity of game files' and afterwards restart your pc.
Does it work after that?
