Outdated mod, most likely. If you use the dog bowl mod, for example, that is the result. Other mods which replace the animal feeders, or the food items themselves, would also need an update.

If it isn't the dog bowl mod, and you aren't sure which one would be causing it, feel free to list all of the mods that you use and I may be able to help you. I'm passingly familiar with most mods on the workshop.

If you don't use mods...I am stumped.

Hi, thanks for your help, I am using some mods though because I don't know exactly which ones would be good. I will make a list of them and send it to you.

Better stacks and better stacks 2.5 are the first two you should disable to see if that solves your issues. Those are definitely outdated and have old resource overrides that will cause issues.

I suggest you use my own mods for increasing stack sizes instead. No resource overrides are used so they won't cause this kind of issue even in future updates.

Other mods in your list that are outdated and do have some things that won't work properly are Beyond Stranded and a Collection of recipes.

There are also two that should get an update, though they probably "work fine" they are missing some changes needed for storage options that were added in the last game update. Quantum cabinet, Large Weapon chest. You can keep using them without an issue, but they won't be able to store the new "unfinished" items of the appropriate types.

Here's the two stack size increase mods that I'd recommend (shameless self plug, but also, seriously, they don't use resource overrides that cause this kind of issue like all the others do):

My guess would be dog one, Bird one or project X "though not sure how much last one edits animals." But those three I think edit animals so start with them? Other wise it could be a few things. Task manager,
Oh i didnt look at enabled toggle till after spoke. But out of list project X or milking my guess? Also why 2 stack mods? Things that edit same thing do not normally work well together. But others might know the mods better then I do.

EDIT - Never mind Jarrid answered you better then I. Go with what they suggest.

I'm pretty sure one of those bigger stacks mods also adds animal feeders. If I'm remembering right. Either way, those are definitely outdated and if my recollection is right, it's definitely the (main) culprit when it comes to the original issue.

Edit: Also, I agree with @dragonsphotoworks that you should ditch birds and eggs. It's not the cause of your animals not eating, i don't think. But it's also pointless to use it, because your people will not eat the eggs unless the mod gets an update.

project X also does mess with animal stuff. Beds, feeders and drying racks as well. And sends animals to fight you. So would it also be possible cause?

Project X has had an update since the game update. So my assumption is that the mod author would have fixed it (just an assumption though).

Good point, never know though. But likelihood probably low then.

Oh well, I really messed up. :) I'll take that to heart and change it right away. Thank you very much for your great help. I'll get back to you if nothing has changed.py:

the main Project X mod is too big, it touches too many systems, to be used at the same time with other mods, i know some people are playing casually a couple of hours a day and they feel like its no issue with having it active,
but if u don't play on project X scenario, you should probably disable it when trying the other scenarios. I am only referring to the main project x mod, the other variants might be safe to keep on all the time but not really sure.

Thank you, I have deactivated it. I don't play there. Maybe I'll give it a try at some point. Thanks for your help.

I stuck to what you said. Now everything is working again. Thank you very much.
