From my understanding that's not what makes something woke, it's when they change characters race/gender or try to rewrite an existing story but make the focus on things like sexual orientation or american race relations. Like if they re-wrote the Horus Heresy but the rebelling primarchs were all lgbt+ or and wanted to overthrow the evil fascist with very little of the parts the fans love.

People have found all sorts of dystopias enjoyable as fictional universes in movies, games and books for a long time. It'll be 100 years since the birth of the dystopian novel genre next year.

And yes, these are cautionary tales, of what may lie ahead of us if we do not strive to build a better future instead. Right now IRL a lot of people have committed into building an Orwellian 1984 dystopia and that really needs to be stopped, but a lot of people like you are glorifying such a dystopia instead.

Most gaming communities are quite dysfunctional in one way or another, it's rare to not feel repulsed at all by anything when you enter these subcultures.
