Belgian Witbier - Can't get the ABV to 7%

Hello everyone. I'm trying to do the job witch I need a belgian style witbier with at least 7%. To do so, I add more sugar for the fermentation, but it transforms my beer into a spicy belgian beer.... how do you guys got this job done ?

i think i used a yeast with a high ABV,i did use a recipe but changed some of the ingredents to get the ABV up.

I am having the same problem with this... upped the sugar at the end and this results in the right ABV, but a style mismatch (Spicy Belgian, American Wheat Wine, etc.). Changing the yeast (for example, I tried using Sixtus) has no impact.
