I told myself I would never do it; I would never play this game. I've been burned by gachas before, and the community acted as a very strong deterrent with their insistence that this game is the second coming of Christ, running down any post with even the slightest resemblance with the same two jokes.

However, after playing all of its story over the past few months, I can safely say this is one of the best works of fiction I have ever seen. Genuinely, I have not seen many games capture the same level of raw emotion with its stories in the same way that Limbus Company has managed to achieve.

The game is split into (currently) nine chapters, each focused on one of the thirteen main characters, with many little stories in between, and at ABSOLUTE WORST, they are just alright, and at best, they left me ruminating on them for many days after completion, with my personal favourite being the fourth chapter, focused on the character "Yi Sang", with the seventh chapter being a close second. They are pretty much all jam-packed with clever writing, lovable characters, and tragic moments.

The music in this game is also on another level, even normal battle themes are incredible, and the boss themes, more notably the chapter final boss themes, are nothing short of stellar. This game does not let up at all with its music throughout its 100-150hr long runtime. However, this is not to say I don't have issues with the game, because trust me, I do.

Pacing. Pacing seems to be the biggest issue this game has with its story, and it can mostly be felt in the game's ninth and sixth chapters, both of which feel like they're too short, which is ironic considering that they're on the longer side. They're just crammed with so many different elements clamouring for your attention, that juggling all of it mentally becomes bothersome. ESPECIALLY in the ninth chapter, good lord. The gameplay is also really quite good, but the tutorial is horrendous - I had to have friends teach me midway through the game how "clashing" actually works.

I could ramble on and on about the game's art, B characters, consistent canonising of game mechanics, or generous gacha systems, but I'd rather leave it at this: Even if you hate gachas, the community, or what have you, this game is worth your time, all while being completely free - and not the kind of "free" that other gachas on the market are.

Duo's Game Review: Limbus Company

Introduction:
A game that takes place in the same universe as the other Project Moon games and books, Library of Ruina Lobotomy Corporation, the Leviathan, Distortion Detective, etc. You do not need to play/read these before playing Limbus Company however the game does make references to them. The gameplay is a system of speed, clashes, coins, power, sanity, and whatever. An oversimplification without making a super long paragraph is, win clash good, lose clash bad, use win-rate button. The Project Moon universe takes place in "The City" - a place made up of a ton of "Wings" that each have their own singularities (gimmick). The city is a very dystopian place that has little regard for human life, and has things running rampant like fixers (mercenaries), abnormalties, and syndicates. You play as Dante, the manager of 12 Sinners (Yi Sang, Faust, Don Quixote, Ryoshu, Mersault, Hong Lu, Heathcliff, Ishmael, Rodya, Sinclair, Outis, and Gregor), who will be the main people who you control in the game, guided by Vergilius, and driven by Charon.

Positives:
- The gameplay is very fun and balanced (with some exceptions), but you can pretty much throw any team together and play, even using 1 star units can get you through the game. While the gameplay may be complicated, once you understand it, it's very fun
- Each unit is very unique and has their own gimmicks
- Amazing story, better than every other gacha game and a lot of actual series as well
- Convenient menu to read all of the story and summaries of it if you need a refresher
- Fully voiced dialogue (except for some intervallos, they're still working on voicing newer ones)
- Characters can curse
- Great art and character designs
- Very customizable profile options
- Great music, made by Mili, each song unique to the story, every canto (chapter) has each character sing their own version of the credits song
- Great voice acting, on par with visual novels where conversations/interactions feel natural and very expressive
- Only Korean voice acting, this game is very Korean and doesn't pretend to be Japanese, also no English VAs
- Simple upgrading system, no convoluted equipment and such
- Very generous with rewards and good rates (2%)
- You can get any unit in the game (except the previous season) by using shards, which can be gotten just from playing the game, no gacha needed
- Great community
- Amazing developers
- No horny fanservice
- Highest quality dev livestreams
- The greatest memes
- Issues are fixed FAST
- Paid things are very worth the price you pay and not expensive

Negatives:
- Enkephalin recharges too slowly (10 per hour) and leveling up units takes too long, rewards from EXP stages don't give much for how much enkephalin they take
- Lack of game modes (though there is a new one coming out later this year)
- Hard to keep track of friends as there's no usernames
- Some bosses have been nerfed and made too easy
- No way to speed up gameplay
- No Roland
