A game, made to be fun, struggles with a "pay to win" cancer. There is not gonna be remission. It just doesn't matter at this point how good the systems are if "privilege" is allowed to affect progression.

The game is really fun, has a lot of build diversity and runs flawlessly without any lag spikes or crashes or even fps drops during maps which is incredible and a first time for me after playing almost all ARPGs that are out there.

Being an Asian game (made by a Chinese studio), however, it is also P2W. There are pets called "Pactspirits" that boost not only your character's damage and stats (called "battle pactspirits"), but also all the specific league mechanics in the game (called "drop pactspirits") and give you extra rerolls during choice selections or increased quantity of drops from all the endgame mechanics. There are even more generic drop pactspirits that boost dropped quantities of regular non-league mechanic currencies such as your main trading currency (flames), cards (fluorescent memories), crafting mats (the 4 types of embers), etc. The devs do give a couple pet chests for free each league and another few as a reward for doing some difficult endgame challenges, so you can slowly pick them up over time as you play the game each new league, but if you wanna swipe, be prepared to go through an abysmal gacha casino, as every pet (and most cosmetics) are locked behind gacha banners where it's unlikely you'll get the drop before reaching pity. (roughly ~ $80 USD per pity)

This game is also extremely expensive, both the pets and the cosmetics are seriously overpriced. If you dont mind the P2W and the exorbitant prices in the cash shop, the game is phenomenal. It has a ton of QoL features, auto-loot for most stuff besides the important currency drops, a lot of unique characters and builds, support skill gems that can automate your main skill in the endgame so you dont have to constantly press it, the list goes on.

I highly recommend at least giving the game a shot and seeing if you enjoy it. Even if you're fully F2P, the lack of pets isnt that crazy and it is still very much playable, just like any other ARPG. You can grind anything you want if you put in enough time.
