I don't usually leave these kinds of reviews, but Ghost of Tsushima deserves every bit of praise it gets. This game is an absolute masterpiece — from the story, to the characters, to the breathtaking world of Tsushima.
The story kept me hooked from the very beginning. It’s not just about fighting Mongols — it’s about honor, sacrifice, and the personal struggles of Jin Sakai as he tries to protect his people. Watching Jin’s journey, seeing how he evolves and faces impossible choices… it really hit me emotionally more than I expected.
The characters are so well written. Jin, of course, is an amazing protagonist, but the supporting characters make the world feel so alive. Yuna, for example, is such a badass and her relationship with Jin is full of tension and respect. Lord Shimura represents the old ways and tradition, and their conflict feels so real and tragic. Even characters like Sensei Ishikawa or Masako have their own deep, personal stories that make you care about them.
And the graphics… wow. The island of Tsushima is simply stunning. Sometimes I just stopped riding my horse to look at the sunset, the falling leaves, or the forests swaying in the wind. It’s one of the most beautiful open worlds I’ve seen in a game.
The combat feels smooth and satisfying. Switching between stances, the duels, the stealth mechanics — everything feels polished and rewarding. Plus, the soundtrack perfectly matches the atmosphere and adds so much to the experience.
If you enjoy samurai stories, beautiful open worlds, and games that actually respect your time and intelligence, you owe it to yourself to play Ghost of Tsushima.

This is what a true video game should be. Far from the usual formulas of the industry, Ghost of Tsushima stands out as one of the rare titles to fully embrace its unique style, narrative, and artistic direction—all of which are remarkably accomplished. In a world saturated with war games, the studio has managed to create a genuine work of art.

Immersed in the masterfully crafted story of a samurai torn between the honor of his family and the freedom of a people he has sworn to protect, the player must master a combat system that is both demanding, fluid, and deeply satisfying.

The game as a whole is a tremendous artistic and gaming achievement. It is one of the few titles that truly deserves such high praise. Clearly, Ghost of Tsushima is a game that compels you to go for 100% completion. Every corner of the island is filled with secrets, challenges, and memorable moments that reward curiosity and exploration. The completionist experience is truly satisfying, both narratively and artistically, and makes you want to uncover everything the game has to offer.

Even though I’m not usually drawn to unconventional games, I can only recommend that anyone dive into the story of Jin, the Ghost of Tsushima.
